"This is my kids primary pediatrics but I’m considering elsewhere. You can never get a hold of someone for prescription refills. It’s always by voicemail which makes it extremely hard to find out whether or not they filled it. The staff is NOT kid friendly. I brought my son in for a sick visit and demonstrated he is autistic. They were very frustrated and had no patience from the very beginning and then charged me an outrageous lab fee for a COVID test! I had no idea the bill was even out there. Never received it in mail. I had an extremely frustrated staff member call me to tell me it needed to be paid. That staff member couldn’t give any details and kept saying to look at the online portal. After spending another 30m to an hour trying to view it on the portal all that displayed was he had a COVID test! Nothing else was on there. I had to call chkd back and be placed on hold to at least get some kind of information. The pediatric that my son has is a nice staff member and the only reason why I gave a two star. I will NOT bring my children in for sick visit to this facility. If you are frustrated with your job that involves children, look for a different job!"

"Very kind staff, especially Nurse Elizabeth and Dr. Holtz!!! My daughter doesn't enjoy the doctors office, but when she had the chance to meet these two ladies she quickly got out of her shell and showed them her big smiley personality. "The lady that answers the phone "after hours" is absolutely rude and shouldn't not be dealing with customers period! I called tonight 12/28/2020, unaware that it was after hours and who she even was.. Apparently my doctors office gets forwarded to her when they are not open. Anyways she spoke as if I was an annoyance to her and then hung up on me when I said I didn't appreciate the way she was speaking to me, that I didn't know she was for "emergency" calls. Had no idea it did that. Either way, I should not have had the response I got and she should be somewhere else. When speaking to customers /clients a person should have the traits to do the job, as this person significantly lacked. Couldn't tell you a name as she hung up! Now, as for the office and doctors, they are great!!! Would highly recommend them. Wonderful."

"Came to this practice as a child and loved it. We are from out of town now and my son is having lots of ear pain. When I called the very rude receptionist told me that no one has time to see my 1 yr old son and that I should just take him to patient first. Mind you we are not patients of this practice anymore but his name is in their system. No one should be working at a pediatric office with that kind of an attitude when it comes to people’s children. It’s quite a shame because the doctors are wonderful, so the front staff should be as well."

"This was the first time I visited this location, as I have always gone to the Oak Brooke office. I came in 16 minutes late because I got lost and my son was sick throwing up in the car. Mind you it has been a year and a half since I took my son in. The receptionist said we were 1 minute late for the cutoff so I was too late for them to see me. I explained we got lost. She called the doctor who said I had been late or a no show to one other appointement and that would set them back the whole day. They said the best they could do is see me in the afternoon. I drove 45 minutes just to get there from Virginia Beach and my son already missed part of his school day, so I said we would just go to another practice. I called the Oak Brooke office and scheduled with them. I decided to just go to the CHKD in Virginia Beach instead and no longer go to Chesapeake Pediatrics. I had never even been there before. That was rude. I believe it was Dr. Kim. Funny they can make you wait there for 30 minutes to an hour sometimes and I don't complain, but they couldn't see me after 16 minutes. I will no longer be a paying customer there."
