"Absolutely the most wonderful ENT around Hampton Roads! He is very personable, caring and much more! He saved my twin boys hearing and fixed their ears multiple times over the years. He has been seeing us for a good 9 years, I live 45 mins away and I make the drive to go see him! You won't regret it!"
"So first of all I must thank Dr Lindsay and his staff for a seamless process including surgery day. I must say I did my research to get through the two weeks. There was a list of must haves for a tonsillectomy to be basically painless. First get a referral for Dr Lindsay lol and he conveniently allowed me to grab my prescription prior to survey day so that is imperative. The list below is what I used to basically have an easy healing process: Neck Ice pack-use it before wand after meals, and all day the first day.(they give you one too that I used that first day or so) Throat numbing lozenges- so great before trying to eat or drink anything on about day 2-15 really Eat drops-these are amazing about a week in when your ears can potentially start to throb-mine were holistic drops I ordered from Amazon and they were AMAZING lifesaver, remember pain travels besides your actual throat so these were essential at a point Manuka honey - great for healing and of course the honey is very soothing and easy to go down, anti microbial and anti viral so great for speeding up healthy healing Ice-make sure you have some ice chips on hand, I bought popsicles but for some reason I just didn’t want anything to do w them..little chips of ice was great, especially after eating warm bone broth. The ice chips were soothing to calm the sensitive areas. Aloe Vera juice-get the juice from your local supermarket but make sure it’s pure aloe juice. Helps w digestion as everything is moving slow. It was very soothing to the throat hit just a few sips in between allllll the water was excellent. Helps w healing which is the goal here lol Probiotic/yogurt-I did very little yogurt but it’s good to have, not too much because you don’t want all that mucous Tongue scraper-because it’s say difficult to swallow, the tongue scraper worked wonders on getting food, debris from around the site; gently scrape after eating to keep your throat clear from too much mucous and or food Apple sauce-best food item! This was really great because the apple sauce was able to get very cold; easier to eat apple sauce than to drink water in my opinion Hot steamy shower and rest right after w your meds! These are the main items that made this process easy peasy for my adults reading all the horror stories online. Thanks again to the staff and team, especially Dr Lindsay. God bless!"
"Dr. Lindsay listened and cared about my concerns! He and his staff were absolutely fantastic. I feel 100% comfortable with Dr. Lindsay taking on the care for my 3 yr old and her allergy concerns."
"So here’s my story and hopefully it will help some of you that don’t have the benefit of a referral to Dr. Lindsay or Hampton Roads ENT. I’ve lived away from my hometown so I know firsthand how hard it is to find service providers you can trust and that will fit your needs. First about me, I’m 40’s, I’m an athlete, I run a lot, live very healthy and I don’t have a lot of medical issues, but I do get chronic sinusitis. I had severe sinusitis as a child resulting in awful migraines through my teenage years, and I had my nose broken 4 times over the years from car wrecks, military service and a fight back in my 20s. Through my 30’s I went to this other ENT that was very highly rated and had great referral from my PCP. They had 5-star reviews but in reality, their practice was problematic on several levels. I told my other ENT about my prior nose issues and she said I was not a good sinus surgery candidate because of my multiple nose fractures even though I was constantly having problems. So I thought I was doomed to bad snoot forever, then I met Dr. Lindsey through some mutual friends and at first just thought he seemed like a nice guy- I knew he was an ENT but I’d been seeing another doc for my chronic nose issues. Then, I got frustrated with my other ENT because I kept having issues and I thought I’d never get better, so one day I asked Dr. Lindsey when I ran into him and he said, “you know, let me take a look- I do surgery for those pretty often and they usually work out well, but let’s get you in and get a look.”. So I made an appointment about a year ago, and he reviewed me, checked everything out, we tried some steroids and antibiotics (been there, done that, but surgery is always a last resort) and got a CT scan (which still cost WAY less than the imaging I had done previously with my high deductible insurance). He had the EXACT OPPOSITE recommendation- he thought I was a great candidate for surgery because of my age and otherwise good health. So, I pulled the trigger on it. The surgery went well, the recovery went exactly as he said it would, I did do my part by specifically following instructions but there’s no doubt in my mind Dr. Lindsay’s skill was largely responsible for how well this has gone. After surgery Doc says- “You’re going to love your new nose”. OMG the NEW nose! You cannot imagine what it is like to be able to breathe freely through your nose after TWENTY PLUS years of being obstructed. I really, absolutely cannot, with words, convey how big of a difference it is to be able to breathe again! Dr Lindsay’s staff has been excellent and accommodating, even when I was stressed out from surgery and being less polite than I could have been . I proudly take the time to write, edit and post this to give them the kudos for a job well done, that they so deserve. You guys rock. Thank YOU!"
"My experience with Hampton Roads ENT physican Dr. Fred Lindsay was exceptional. I was able to see him the same day my PCP referred me. He diagnosed my voice issue and we set up a therapy program with Ann Cyptar, voice pathologist, at Riverside Outpatient Therapy Services. Dr. Lindsay was very personable and set me at ease at once. I highly recommend Dr. Lindsay and this practice!"
