"This review is really a praise for this practice and a criticism. My daughter has been going to this practice since she was a newborn in 2019. The staff here really is friendly and the NPs Macy and Alex both are wonderful and attentive with my daughter. Now the criticism, my daughter has just been kicked out of this practice due to multiple “no shows” which of course is no fault of her own. I got a very passive aggressive letter in the mail dated 02/28 and I only just received it on 03/24. The letter told me my daughter has 30 days to find another primary care provider and basically good luck. Really I only had 4 days (which was a weekend) since some how the letter got lost in transfer for a month. I called the office to find out about the no show dates as I wasn’t even aware I was close to some no show threshold that would get you booted. The lady who answered the phone was helpful but it seems all so cold and uncaring about a patient that’s been coming since 2019. It’s like no concern, feels like my daughter was just another number another Medicaid patient. The letter and the demeanor of the staff has no feeling of empathy or sympathy. I won’t deny time got away from me in 2021 (which the majority of the no shows happened in) as I am a full time social worker in Child and Adult Welfare /CPS/APS, taking care of other peoples loved ones and I’m a single mother. I shouldn’t feel concerned my daughters primary care providers will just kick her out without any warning. Can I get a letter or a call so I can make a choice to go ahead and move her to another provider on my own time instead of a 4 day notice? Luckily my older children go to Riverside Mercury West with Dr. Pennyfeather who is also a wonderful doctor and a POC. She is great with my sons and was able to get my daughter right in to be seen in April. Thank goodness for her. If you want to have NPs as your child’s primary care providers Macy and Alex are great. If you happen to have too many no shows or looking for a great pediatric doctor, Riverside Mercury West is a great choice especially if your a POC."
