Holiday Inn Express & Suites VA Beach Oceanfront, an IHG Hotel

"It's clean and was renovated this past year. Free breakfast to start the day was good and hot foods (eggs bacon, turkey and pork sausages, eggs with cheese, scrambled eggs, scrambled egg whites, pancakes prepared in about a minute, fruit and fruit juices were available, or cold cereal, white and chocolate milk..coffee and tea). I was accommodated for early ck in (as requested) on the 10th floor/highest (also, as requested). The staff was very nice, too. The indoor pool was convenient since it was raining that Sunday. All rooms are ocean front. I stayed for two nights and requested a late ck out but left by scheduled ck out (11:00a) just to beat the traffic on 64 to 95 North. I would stay here again. There's no restaurant on site. This hotel is conveniently located near many eateries but there's nothing like roomservice for a burger and fries. The pillows are the best!! I sleep like a baby anytime I stay at a Holiday Inn! I need to know where I can order these pillows. I was satisfied with my stay at this location. To say it's a luxury hotel, no, I've stayed at a HI resort, and there was a full-size refrigerator, stove-top with three eyes, dishes, a table for four, on-site restaurant in Daytona Beach, Florida. This location has a mini fridge and microwave oven.. it's better than nothing. A coffee maker, iron, and ironing board. For a last minute, something to do.. was very relaxing."

"Cancellation policy over Customer Service. Been a loyal IHG member for years; however, this location Will Not assist with refund. Corporate and Management have no empathy, as stated by all representatives “The cancellation policy will not allow a refund and there is nothing we can do”. I stayed at the Holiday inn Norfolk location, although the original booking was for the oceanfront location. Attempted to cancel via IHG app; however; the system has no record or proof of cancellation from 3 days prior. Charged $197.55 for a cancelled reservation. Will never again book a stay with an IHG affiliate! IHG (pronounced fraud)"

"Only a couple small issues but no big deal, the toilet in the room wouldn't stop running but someone came to fix it, the air con filter was dusty (I cleaned it myself) and the bathroom fan is as well, was sad there was no hot tub, also no bath in the room just a shower but the view of the beach was wonderful!! Also great breakfast! :)"

"The rooms had an amazing view, all of the ocean/boardwalk. The breakfast was nice and we utilized the on-site drink/snacks frequently, very convenient. The hotel overall was clean and relaxing.The parking was a little congested but this seems to be the norm for most beach places. We were able to park either at the hotel or the parking just across the street so not really an issue. The staff was very helpful."

"My family and I were there 2 weeks ago. The rooms and the breakfast were all good. Breakfast was well staffed and tables cleaned quickly. There are 3 different parking lots but all in pretty close proximity to the hotel if you are ok walking. The only problem we had that really upset us was the housekeeping issue getting the rooms fresh towels, as other reviews have also mentioned. We came off the beach to shower around 3:00pm (on a Sunday) and there were no clean bath towels in the entire hotel. Apparently there was a problem with the vendor delivering clean towels, but there was no management at the hotel addressing this problem quickly and solving this. In fact, there was only 1 very nice girl at the front desk and no management on duty (Sunday afternoon). The truck did not arrive until 11:00pm! For over 8 hours we were told "the truck was on the way", "here in 2 hours", etc. Very frustrating to pay over $350 per night and not have a clean towel to shower with. We were traveling with another family and housekeeping actually folded up their wet dirty towels since they couldn't replace with fresh ones. I view this as a management issue at the hotel that corporate needs to be addressing. If there is a vendor issue delivering clean towels, then the hotel's management needs to be solving this problem quickly, and they are not!"
