"This review is to address the mistreatment of a vet technicians 8-12 week old German shepherd puppy, physically struck and yelled at behind the front desk by a blonde curly haired receptionist during the entirety of my dogs appointment today. When checking out I watched Dr Ketron come and aggressively leash the small puppy and proceed to lock him in a kennel alone outside after being slapped around by the receptionist. It broke my heart to listen to him cry and claw at the chain link as I left. I reported locally to the appropriate authorities but this is East TN so I’m not optimistic. I’m rarely one to leave a review, however I feel this particular clinic employs individuals who should not work with animals. As someone in the healthcare industry, I recognize burnout as opposed to lack of empathy. Unfortunately, my experience with multiple visits so far not only left me with a sour customer service experience, but also serious animal welfare concerns. I’ve recently relocated to the area and am now looking for another vet already. I’d advise anyone who cares about their pet to steer clear from here."

"Our beautiful Frank is alive today because of the skill, compassion, and professionalism of Dr. Ketron and her team. She is thorough, smart, practical, and honest. We wouldn’t take our animals anywhere else at this point. We love her no nonsense, caring approach and are so glad we found her!"

"I would recommend Ketron Clinic to anyone. I adopted an older dog about two years ago and this clinic will do anything to make sure they are okay. My dog had high calcium levels after her recent blood work, they called me immediately and let me know of the risks. I was able to bring her back to the clinic as quick as I could to retest her to make sure her blood work was correct and to figure out the next steps. The second test, her levels were normal! My dog is my whole world, and I love knowing that Dr. Ketron and her team did everything they could to get her retested and make sure she was okay. It makes me feel good knowing I have a vet who will double check any risks, answer any questions I have, and love on my dog. They are the best around! Thank you!"

"If I could give no stars I would - but I had to choose at least one star to post the review. I made an appointment with Ketron Veterinary Clinic in Blountville and asked very specific questions about prices and explained what I needed the appointment for. I will also mention they charge a $70.00 pre-payment when you set the appointment. I went to the appointment and basically the "Vet" petted my dog and gave me a script with 4 pills for car sickness and charged me another $50.00 for a grand total of $130.00. They basically weighed my dog, petted her a bit, never really asked that many questions, never really looked her over for $130.00. Now, I am not upset at the cost - I am upset because when I called to set the appointment, I was told a completely different amount - I was told the $70.00 would more than cover what I was coming to appointment for and the leftover would be one my account. So, I was shocked to say the least when they asked me for another $50.00. I asked to speak to the "Vet" and told her what happened and that her staff should all be on the same page know how much the fees are here when people call and make appointments. She told me they cannot quote the cost of medicine over the phone - I was not told that either when I called - just that what I needed would be covered in the $70.00. Then she told me not to come back - I said don't worry I would not be coming back there ever. Then when I was leaving other people in the parking lot were also telling me they are not happy with this office either. I NEVER received an “I’m sorry they told you wrong” or "I will make sure they know my prices" I ONLY received a “don’t come back” – I guess that is the service world today – NO SERVICE The funny thing is we have 6 animals so we could have been a great customer for them! But, I guess from the attitude and rudeness I received they don't need any more customers."
