"I don’t know if I could truly express with words the gratitude I feel towards Dr. Brumfield, but I am going to try. She took my pain away in just one session. For weeks after Thanksgiving, I was walking around with such severe knee pain that I was in tears constantly. I had my ACL and meniscus repaired last year, and a torn MCL that was left alone. The recovery process was brutal. I had just started feeling like I was getting back to normal when all of a sudden, this weird sharp and burning pain crept in and lingered. I saw my orthopedic surgeon concerned that I had torn the ligaments again and he diagnosed me and told me to get in the gym and start lifting weights. The problem was, I could barely walk. I wasn’t living my life. I couldn’t clean my house, walk my dog, do my grocery shopping, let alone go to the gym… it was all too painful. Even lying in bed hurt me. I went to Back in Action Physical Therapy & Active Relief just a day or two later! Heather welcomed me into her office immediately. She was kind, attentive, and informative. She asked me some questions and looked at my knee, moved me around a little bit, and not only did she have a plan for us over the course of several weeks, but she treated me then and there. I don’t know how to explain what she did, but her hands work miracles. I couldn’t believe the relief I felt instantly and after leaving her office, and I woke up that following morning feeling like a new person. She is truly an answer to my prayers and I’m so glad to know her! She’s consistently helped me not only to feel better, but also to be aware of what’s going on in my body. She has treated other issues for me too, related to my back. As someone who deals with extreme anxiety, I find her approach to treatment to be so calming and helpful (that’s rare!). She’s one of a kind."
