Reviews of Capital Women's Care - DIVISION 43
"I came to this practice because I moved to the area and was already 30 weeks pregnant. I found an OB that I thought looked amazing who happened to be at the practice. However, they said I could not have a regular OB for each visit because I had to meet every single doctor at the practice prior to delivery so I wouldnt have a doctor I wouldnt know during delivery, which meant a different doctor for each prenatal visit. I delivered 10 days early. The kicker: the doctor I delivered with was not even in the practice and since I delivered quickly despite it being my first pregnancy that doctor was in the delivery room for a total of 13 minutes. What was the point of such inconsistent care? A different person every single week so that I'll recognize the delivery doctor only for the delivery doctor to be from a completely different practice. I then called to make my 6 week appointment. First I called for 3 days trying and failing to get ahold of a human Then, I tried to make it with the person I had originally found and for whom I had initially joined capital womens care, and they said the appointment had to be with the doctor I delivered with. I said I didnt think the doctor I delivered with was at this practice. They said "wasn't it Dr. *insert name here*" I said I was pretty sure they told me the doctor was from a different practice but since I had only met each person 1 time for 10 minutes at a time I couldn't be positive. The lady on the phone seemed annoyed that I had no clue with whom I delivered when they had paraded me through random doctors for 8 weeks. I have face blindness. I wouldn't know any of these doctors if I met them on the street. What a totally pointless policy. I would give that policy 0 stars if possible. The care was completely inconsistent never knowing what kind of doctor youll be with and the doctor not knowing your history. The OB who did my first 29 weeks of pregnancy was consistent and amazing. If you are near Olney or Gaithersburg I highly recommend Dr. Jayaraj. Now as for the doctors. Most of the doctors are amazing. Some were not memorable though. If you are going for non pregnancy related reasons, I would highly recommend Dr Bridge and Dr Patel Grimm. They were the doctors who left the biggest positive impressions in the short visits I had with them. To sum up, dont go here if pregnant - especially later in pregnancy unless they change their ridiculous meet every single doctor policy. Do go here if you need an annual pap smere."
"This is ridiculous. This is the 3rd time we have been waiting for 40 mins or longer after our scheduled appointment time. Our last appointment was yesterday and we literally waited 55 mins from the time of our appointment until we were finally seen. Again.. this is not the 1st or 2nd time this has happened. HORRIBLE time management and disrespect for people’s schedules. EDIT: Allison is the worst “manager” I have ever dealt with. The practice owner doesn’t read the reviews and sees all the complaints about this useless manager?"
"Capital Woman’s Care on Lee Jackson Memorial was a delightful visit. I visited for a new patient annual visit with Dr. Patel-Grimm, and I felt so supported and comfortable. This feeling was important as I hadn’t gotten this feeling from several other providers in the DMV OB/GYN community. However, Dr. Patel-Grimm eased all anxiety altogether. Her professionalism, knowledge, passion, and attentiveness is so easily recognizable. During my appt, she made sure to educate me throughout the entirety of my exams. Additionally, she made me feel like we were just two girls catching up. Mind you this was our first encounter. Dr. Patel-Grimm is such a rare gem in woman’s healthcare. Many don’t take the time to support woman’s vulnerability. Truly, many have failed at understanding the complexity of a woman’s health journey, mainly because woman are often overlooked in this industry. So overall, I trust Dr. Patel-Grimm and look forward to seeing her in the future. As for the front desk staff, I can positively say they were a delight. The staff was very friendly, organized and knowledgeable. All around the office to me was a well oiled machine! I hope this review helps any woman looking for a great OB/GYN office."
"This place is down right terrible. Stay away. I was refused care at 29.5 weeks and I have been with this practice for years. They delivered my first child and that should have been a sign to leave since there were so many red flags then but they refused me care for showing up 5 minutes late (sitting in the parking lot thinking I was early for my appointment) after going back and forth with the ultrasound tech in the office on how crazy it is that she couldn't take me after 5 minutes of being late, she walked away like a child while we were speaking. Allison the manager came out and decided to tell me they were refusing to see me because I said I was disappointed in them for how they handle things. Even if I was 30 minutes late and was screaming to be seen, it's unethical and downright disgusting that they have now refused to give me care at almost 30 weeks pregnant. They do not care about fixing issues you have with them. They do not care about your wellbeing nor any problems or concerns you have with the practice. Allison, Ashley and Dr. Patel-Grim are churlish. I should have left a long long time ago so this was a blessing in some way. Find a better place. Trust me there are so many. Look at their reviews at all locations and the reviews speak for themselves. Many many people are not happy with this place."
"11/19/2021 first I visited Capital Women’s office at Lee Jackson highway, as usual medical visit I paid my copay office did not claim visit to my insurance. During my pregnancy I had several(8visits) prenatal visits as usual, office didn’t request neither of them to my provider. When I asked on my checkouts to pay my copay they stated I do not have any outstanding balance. During my pregnancy my husband lost his job and found new job after two month which I required to change my insurance 2 times. When I had new insurance I provided all required information and asked them to finalize claims with my providers. Thanks for God I delivered my baby healthy in last May, office claimed all claims to my last insurance, which naturally current insurance rejected to pay all my claims, just paid last part(delivery) with stating it is not in covered period(EOB). We immediately informed office by visiting them printed papers visits and insurance coverage dates. I understand there might be misunderstanding or new joiner internee did not pay attention to details. However they repeat same mistake again and again by ignoring our papers and visits every two weeks. We have newborn baby and we visited office every two weeks not to test or medical checkup only for asking them to file claims separately to each provider with their covered period. Doctors and nurses are perfect they all supportive and professional however I am stressed with unprofessional and incompetent staff. I know this is most valuable time to me and my baby to keep our health but by viewing same repeated rejected claims I am so anxious about my financial condition. I heard a lot of stories about uninsured patients how they get worsened life. However I am insured and covered all my visits and delivery with my provider still get same pain."
