Stony Fork Campground 109 Krenning Road, Wytheville, VA 24382

"Came for 1 night, came back for a week+. Great Campground with flush toilets and hot showers (4 bathhouses), located just inside Jefferson National Forest. $20 for a no service site, and they have 1 service for $26, 2 services for $30. The site had a large picnic table and a fire ring with a grill. Driveways are paved into the sites, and it's easy to walk around the loop, also has a small stream running through the grounds. Came in late October when the leaves were peaking, absolutely beautiful. There is even a path through the forest, 1 mile, leading out from the campground. There are deer, raccoons, plenty of types of birds, squirrels, rabbits, and best of all.... no bears. They've only had 1 bear in 3 years. The hosts are super friendly and do a fantastic job keeping everything clean and running smoothly. My car battery died and they even helped me Jumpstart it. Kim and Joe are fantastic! Will definitely be back if I am in the area next year."

"This is a good campground with service for RVs, and in my case for van camping. Of course tent camping is welcome too! Bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot. Strong cellular service is present. Be sure to hike the Stony Fork nature trail. It's 1 mi and passes through a white pine forest planted in 1959 and the trail passes through rhododendrons. Very nice hike and peaceful place to stay."

"Great spot off of 77. Beautiful scenery and well kept campground. The bathhouses are nice. It was unseasonably cold when I stayed got in the 20s hot showers were nice."

"Very nice campground. Offers rv sites and tent camping sites with water and electric hookups. The sites are not right on top of the other, each one has a good amount of vegetation between for some privacy. Very quite and clean."

"A great camp ground! Very woodsey, and private site feeling. Great 1 mile loop hike right at the campground. Great hosts, Roger and Jim and his wife. It's dated, rustic but so nice. I'll stay again no problem"
