"I accompanied a relative on several visits and the after care was less than professional. After Dr. Brown performed surgeries that were necessary due to an injury, some of the office staff was less than capable. for instance, one of the PAs told the patient that after six weeks, the cast would come off in two weeks of therapy, and he would be good to go. I knew this couldn’t possibly be the case and of course it wasn’t. On his next visit, he was told by another PA who had been in the surgery that this was going to be a long and hard recovery because of the extension damage. Each time he requested to have this particular knowledgeable PA, but that didn’t happen. He kept getting the first PA who gave him the bogus information. It was absolutely disheartening and frustrating for both of us. Dr. Brown does an excellent job. I honestly would refer people to it a second opinion immediately. My patient ended up going to UVA and finally getting the treatment and the direction that he needed. It’s a year and a half later and recovery is still tenuous. Definitely not six weeks and a cast comes off. As you can see, I usually give very high reviews. in this case, I honestly hope that people that are considering this office or end up in this office after emergency surgeries will seek a second opinion. The problem isn’t the doctor. The problem is the staff that backs up and you never see the doctor after the surgery. One of my friends just recently had the same experience and didn’t get a cast for weeks because they waited for Insurance instead of giving her one The next location fixed it immediately."
"They are wonderful!"
