"Some things irked me but I haven’t stayed in a hotel post-covid so maybe this is the new norm. Check in isn’t guaranteed until at least 3pm which caused some confusion as the hotel was booked for wedding guests traveling from out of state. We showed up and couldn’t get into the room for 3 hours. Another covid remanent might be the policy on room cleaning. The rooms are cleaned every other day starting on your 3rd day. I only stayed two nights and not a huge deal but for the amount you spend per night maybe get some fresh towels delivered daily. I don’t need my bed made but when you’re dishing out like $150 a night you just wonder what you’re paying for. Stay at Econo Lodge for $50 a night and you’ll get a bed with no room service as well with a fatter wallet. Rooms were clean. Had a small gym and even smaller indoor “pool”. Rooms were nice and clean, comfortable bed. I just dont understand why you would pay more for less. Decent location, airport’s close and downtown Roanoke is only a few minute drive."

"We stay here 4-6x year in past as we travel to NJ from SC n reverse last 5 years The folks are very nice and they know us know. Michele n Victoria at rest are so nice to speak to. We were there on the 20 n door would not unlock. They changed our room but last thing we wanted by end of long travel day. On 29 we returned n TV would not work we waited 55 mins called down n they said repair man was at other location n could be another 45 min wait. We changed our room which we were already settled in. Another long travel day. Gal at desk was very accommodated. We had just discussed how we felt place needed some updating. Looked warn. We ll think about our next trip n where to go.i am a Marriott loyal customer and disappointed if we need to support other chain. The LochliMcgrath"

"We stopped here for a night on the way to DC. The rooms were a little rundown but clean…the hotel could do with a renovation. That being said, the difference maker for us was the service we received. We checked out in Christmas Day and I believe the Director of Sales was supporting the Front Office area. Her positive attitude spread throughout the hotel, making an impact to everyone around her."

"Stayed here for two nights over a weekend. Immediately when walking into room 305 I was hit with a strong musty smell. I couldn't seem to get the refrigerator to work, could be operator error but I didn't want to spend a lot of effort on it. While I didn't notify the front desk of these issues, I could have. However, I didn't feel it was worth it at the time. The waitress at "The bistro" was less than friendly. As if I annoyed her with my order when no one else was there. Front desk staff was "Meg" who worked the early evening, was very friendly. Another visit to the front desk left me standing up there for a couple minutes and I could hear conversation in the back before I had to announce myself to get service. Third and final visit for check out there was a woman using a tablet (looking down at it) for again a couple minutes before noticing me standing there. Could I have announced myself? Sure, however, the front desk should be tentative especially when customer facing. I have stayed in worse hotels and I have stayed in better ones. Lands right in the middle. 3 stars."

"I have stayed at this Marriott several times and it is always a pleasure. The rooms are clean and spacious. All the employees are always friendly with a smile on the face, even the bartender and food runner bring items out from the kitchen. Would highly recommend to anyone!"
