"My four month old daughter started here last week. Starting day two she had a horrible diaper rash and by day 3 she was already sick. Day 4 they didn’t even put her down for a nap. Did not even attempt! She went 7 hours without a nap when at home she naps every 1.5 hours. I spoke to the director who assured me next week would be better. Monday morning I came to pick her up early Only to see her crying hysterically in her crib, tears on her face, while an almost one year old has his arm reaching into her crib grabbing her by the swaddle by her neck toward the edge of the crib!! I knocked on the glass to get their attention, as all of their backs were turned to my screaming baby, and one of them slowly walked over to get the baby who was grabbing mine in her crib. While she was walking over, that child then proceeded to grab my four month old by the face and scratched her by her eye. Still, the worker walked instead of rushing over to help! After moving the child away from my daughters crib, they were not even going to pick her up to console her until I knocked on the glass again and motioned that she was mine and I was there to pick her up. Only to be met with rudeness when I voiced complaints over what I had just seen. This center not only makes excuses for their employees, they take no interest in the well-being of the children there. Nothing was done when complaints were made by me or my husband. Being told that things would be swept under the rug when there are 12 babies in the room, when they very well knew there were only 6 that day. On the days when it was actually working, I would watch the camera and see the teachers sitting around talking while babies are on the floor, without toys, or laying in their cribs screaming. I worked in daycare for years and would have never dreamed of letting a child cry in their crib and let another child grab at them. Let alone not give an infant a nap for 7 hours. I am extremely disappointed by this center. This is my first child and to have her first week be this much of a disaster is unacceptable. The other classrooms might be okay, but I would not recommend the infant room to my worst enemy. I trusted them with my daughter, and after 5 days, she will never be returning here."
"I actually worked at this location for around a year. It was between my time of student teaching and a public school contract, so I was looking for a place to grow. Looking back I can honestly say that it was an environment that cultivated growth for students and teachers alike. The directors and teachers each offered valuable lessons, and the greatest that I learned was that there's a difference between education and care-taking. All staff members I encountered cared for each child as their own, yet the curriculum were geared towards preparing them for a school environment. Staff always had primary concerns of safety and cleanliness, and were continuously updating and renewing. That's something an older tour might have missed. Wonderful place for kids, and super fun too!"
"This center is amazing. I toured and fell in love. All of the students and teachers were engaged and the teachers were in control. I toured several centers in the area and did not always find this to be the case. It seems as if the directors certainly took the time to find the cream of the crop. Definitely enroll your child here. We are moving to the area soon and will enroll our child ASAP."
"My daughter started going to La Petite at 3 months old. It was a hard decision to put her in daycare but my wife had just gotten a full time job. The director and teachers at the school made us feel comfortable leaving our daughter in their care. They were always happy to greet her in the morning and cheer her up if she was crying. Our daughter attended until she was a toddler and she loved the toddler program as well. She really enjoyed getting to go outside almost every day that the weather cooperated. A few months ago we started our daughter in Montessori, but we still choose La Petite for short term care when needed because we trust them and they do a great job helping children develop."
"I started taking my now 8-months old to La Petite Academy when he was 2-months old and I absolutely love their services. They take excellent care of him and do not hesitate to call me if there is a problem. The Director is very caring and even calls if he is out sick. The staff is wonderful and their customer service skills are exemplary. They always greet you when you walk through the door and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend this center to anyone needing childcare."
