"99% of the staff was friendly and professional. My stay was about 14 hours in ER, but my treatment was thorough. I saw many Mentally Ill clients during my wait. They were all treated in a respectful, kind but no nonsense manner. Staff was quick to clean up messes left behind. My only complaint would be the GW Hospital needs a larger ER. Thank you for your care during my time of need."

"While I’m certain staff shortages and being a trauma designated center had a serious impact on my personal attention, (10 hrs before being seen and 12 hours before discharge). Forced to sit I, took the opportunity to observe. I found the doctors, nurses and intake staff incredibly supportive and friendly, while in a lot of pain, this helped a lot. I found it a bit frustrating to sit for almost 4 hours before being asked for my insurance information, which is on record. I felt maybe the hope was for me to become impatient enough to leave. Don’t know what the answer is, but a fly on the wall and a positive response to those findings might help. that’s my story. Regards Pastor Robinson"

"ER was a circus, but the nursing staff was fantastic. After being admitted, the staff in the unit was equally caring, efficient, responsive and highly professional. While I wouldn’t wish an ER and subsequent hospital stay on anyone, it was as good as it could possibly be. Stand out in the ER was a nurse named Spenser who took excellent care of me. A wonderful woman did my CT scan, and all the nurses upon admission (Heaven, Sophia, Prudence) were caring and helpful. The doctors and nurse practitioners (Jay) were all fantastic. Lousy situation, excellent team."
