"Negative stars: Not recommended. Avoid the ER at all costs. It’s a children’s hospital with smell of cigarettes and weed. You will also end up waiting in the ER for more than 3-4 hours with no care. The staff does not care on how much pain your child is in. They just follow the order you checked in at. I had to leave with no care for my special needs child who started hurting himself. Staff wanted us to move in a room to wait for the private room where the doctor will come. Children’s Hospital is a money making scam."
"If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars I would. Every time I try to call them there are long hold times. Every time I bring my young kids there for an appointment I wait 30+ minutes in the waiting room. Every time I get in the examination room I wait for a nurse or doctor to show up. After every visit the medical bill is larger than expected despite us having insurance. The only redeeming quality about this place is the pediatricians seem nice and competent. Everything else about this place is a nightmare."
"My one year old son was treated at the ER for a second degree burn a week ago and I was advised to schedule for a follow up appointment with the burn clinic, which took place today. When I went to the burn clinic department , the front staff, two ladies, were extremely rude and impatient when I would ask questions. Mind you this was my second time being in this huge hospital, so I’m unfamiliar with it. I arrived 30 minutes early as advised, and the front desk lady forgets to check me in.When I approach her to confirm I was checked in, she tries to defend herself and instead gets mad at me as opposed to apologizing, I was in the waiting room since 10:30 a.m and wasn’t seen til 12:40 pm . The front staff should be reconsidered because it’s ridiculous that they badly represent which otherwise I believe to be a good hospital with kind nurses and doctors . They should learn and be taught compassion, accountability, and be considerate so other patients can avoid dealing with the same treatment."
"Our son came for surgery in June 2023 and the doctor in urology did an excellent job. While in recovery, Nurse Jackie was very incompetent and caused undue pain because she was not educated on post op care and procedure. My son was crying and screaming for over 30 min and all she kept saying was it’s all in his head. He’s 5 and is competent enough to know when he’s in pain. Finally another nurse came over and assisted us to FINALLY give my son and the relief from his VERY REAL pain from the surgery. I spoke to the Nurse Manager a few days later who apologized said she would speak with the director and get back to me. I never heard anything back and this traumatizing situation still haunts me to this day. The hurt and pain in my sons cries, screaming in recovery hurts my heart and to know it was 100% avoidable makes it that much worse. Avoid Nurse Jackie in urology at all costs. In fact, just find another hospital to do the surgery to avoid the possibility of encountering her. It’s sad that one person can make such a huge impact on an organization but she can not be trusted with post op care."
"I was sigh my baby and the doctors were really kind with me, always brought an Interpreter for me and they understood that I need to get all the info in my mother tongue! If you breastfeed your baby you have one Boucher for free food, and in the day there are people that give you all that you need. (Shampoo, chargers, toothpaste, etc)"
