"My Mom was admitted to the ICU heart hospital, there was no empathy from some of the Employees, the nursing staff, and the security guards (2) of them. We’d been here for a week stay in the family waiting room when a security guard came to pull his rank and advised we couldn’t sleep in the waiting room because the staff comes in and sanitized the waiting room which to my last statement and never sanitized, we were the ones cleaning the area. We’ve been here a week and now we’re advised we couldn’t sleep in the waiting room and we should be sitting up. Dirty hospital and rude staff!!! Worst hospital ever!!"

"I'm using this site for my review of 'Sentara Reference Lab Solutions LLC' because it is the same address as listed on my billing statement. I can't emphasize this enough, these guys are SCAM artists. It isn't bad enough that we all have to deal with this convoluted medical-insurance system, but then you have to deal with companies like this who try to rip you off. I've been working with them for years and the first bill is almost always wrong (This despite the fact that I ALWAYS ask them at the time of service, "Do you have all my insurances on file?"). So then I have to waste my time and contact them to remind them I have multiple insurances, and they always respond with, "Oh our apologies, we'll resubmit the claim." The second bill is usually correct. Now it's gotten truly bad. I received a bill from them the other day that not only was INCORRECT, but I had ALREADY PAID IT!! I have their payment code and VISA records to prove it. To add insult to injury, on the bill in big-bolded letters is a warning about "pay now or face collections." Unbelievable. You have the nerve to take my money and then try to get me to pay again with wrong information. If you deal with this company, I can't stress this enough, DO NOT simply pay the bill. Check the numbers first."

"They are the worst hospital in the country. Wasted my time. The doctors do not listen to your concerns. They did not test me for anything I went in for. Asked could they run some test to see why I’m having severe pregnancy symptoms and they said they don’t specialize in that. Could’ve told me that before I checked in smh left on the same exact condition as I came. Rather die then ever go back"

"Sentara Norfolk General. I had major ear, head & neck surgery. We got there at 10am as told & my procedure was to be at Noon. They also said the surgery is about 3 hours. The surgery was 5 hours AND I had to wait appx 3 hours for my surgery, that's how behind they were. So we got there at 10am & left at appx 1030p. The WORST thing was I was given no pain meds, nothing to take home with me. I got baby pain pills Saturday morning cuz my daughter had to go pick them up. I called the on call Dr who was horrible. I insisted on REAL pain meds (I had my skull drilled in to & more). Finally, Sunday afternoon, I got something stronger. No one called me to check up on me, as I was previously told. But, I'm alive."

"Worst experience in regards of waiting. Arrived 8:20am then they did not have any records of my spouse coming in. Then been on hold in the waiting for 4 plus hours. They did not have any information on what's happening except labs cannot read the label "stat". So my wife has not eaten since yesterday and they have lied about a lot of things not to mention they didnt tell her about the residents suppose to come and watch her. Worst experience ever. Unacceptable!!!!!!!!"
