"Brought my leaf blower in for repair ( leaking fuel line) on a Saturday and surprised it was fixed and ready to go on Monday afternoon. Service was done expertly, at a reasonable cost, and the owner helped me load/unload unit from my SUV. Highly recommend this company."
"Drop off my push mower that was not starting. They charged me $95 to fix. Upon return, mower started. When I added gas, it started leaking gasoline everywhere. Gasoline was coming out of air intake, the bottom of the mower, and sides. It did not have this problem until after the repairs. They had known of the leaks and took my payment. Please do yourself a favor look up a certified dealer and use a competent business."
"I purchased a used lawn mower from this jackleg and when I got it home it was running rough. I checked the air filter and it was fouled up with oil. I took the mower back and he put in a new filter but it was still running rough. He advised me that the gas in the mower may be old/bad and to let it run out and it should be better once it has new gas. I took it home and managed to get it started and used it for about 25 minutes. The next day, I couldn't get the mower to start. I drained the gas and put new gas in it and it still would not start. I took the mower back and told him what was happening. He said that he would have to check the carburetor and would charge me $50-$60. I politely objected to paying for any repair being that I had just bought the mower and the dude went ballistic. He told me to take it somewhere else. He was UNBELIEVABLY rude, combative, unprofessional, and unwilling to help me out or even discuss it. I will NEVER return and I would advise people to avoid this shop. He sold me a broken mower with a fouled up air filter with bad gas in the tank. It worked for less than a half hour. SMH"
"My lawnmower and my chainsaw both broke down around the same time, and I was referred to this shop by a neighbor who has been going there for years. I really don't understand any of these negative reviews, because I had a great experience. I called ahead to ask if I could bring my stuff by to drop off. When I arrived, their prices and policies were all clearly listed behind the counter. They were helping another customer at the time but were very polite and greeted me when I came in. The gentlemen who helped me through the process were both very professional and helpful. I paid the drop-off fee for both items. That fee is basically a place-holder, so they can have some money coming in while they work on your stuff! That amount that you pay on the day of the drop-off is applied to the total that you owe upon pickup. (Once again, this was clearly posted at the counter...) It makes sense, especially for a small business. And honestly, living on a paycheck to paycheck income, I liked being able to pay part of the fees up front, and the rest a few weeks later at pickup. They took great care of my lawnmower and chainsaw and got them both back to be in about 1.5 weeks. I barely recognized my lawn mower when I got it back because it was so clean and shiny. Works like new. I really appreciated their help and I will definitely be back the next time I have trouble with a small engine."
"Ive always had a positive experience with West End. Stopped for a few years only because I started working with a well known mobile service. Was quite dissatisfied with the mobile service when they could not or would not come back to fix my generator that I had paid them good money to fix. Took the generator and two mowers to West End last week and they got them running like a top. Also, the turn around time was way quicker than they told me. Very happy."
