"Disappointing experience. I took my daughters iPad to have a simple screen replacement, LCD had been working fine, and charging fine prior. I called ahead and they said screen repair $125, when I went in they tried to charge me $200 before agreeing on initially quoted price. They took the iPad and I returned an hour later, and it looked great, but then the next morning we realized it would not charge. I brought it back and they said there is no way they affected the charge during screen repair, they sent me downstairs to talk to the technician at the Cellairis booth. I spoke with the technician who was rude and condescending. He wanted to charge me $150 “to look into the matter” and that it could cost more. The technician then asked me to move aside so he could tend to other customers. While it’s certainly possible they maliciously affected the charging port, I looked into it myself and it seems this has previously been reported before (a google search brings up cases like this). In any case, while I appreciate their perspective (it’s not intuitive that the charger would be affected by a screen change), their rudeness and unwillingness to appreciate the customer perspective (charger was working until I let them repair my screen) was disappointing, and the technician was incredibly rude. They did not return a voicemail left to them. Again, I don’t know if they were trying a scam or not, but all I know is I took them my iPad that was charging normally for a screen repair and when I got it back it wasn’t charging. Beware in leaving your electronics with these guys."
