"Great place to experience a variety of family & indivual satisfactions. Personally I utilize the golf facilities the most. Otherwise it may be the most underrated/unknown city facility, especially to new inhabitants out there. From golf, 2 courses, to camping to nature walks to water options, canoeing/paddling boats to picnicking to jogging trails to Archery range. These and other options that I'm not familiar with all monitored by a fine staff of park rangers & staff. Know this becuse I liv. e near a much smaller city park which is well maintained most of the time.Bottom line, well worth the time to explore & enjoy.. A welcome release of every day stress for a while. Don't usually respond to these requests but so glad you asked.. HATS OFF TO THE CITY ON THIS ONE!!"
"Beautiful park the discovery center was pretty basic. Very informative, not really super interactive but you can push buttons and pull drawers out which was neat and they had a little microscope to examine various bugs. They even had a little section on history with a battle between the Union and the Confederacy. I didn't know there was a battle in the area. So cool."
