"Take the reviews with a grain of salt, they will give you a free t-shirt if you leave a 5-star review. The instructors are really great and really knowledgeable and skilled practitioners and great with kids, but the management isn't great. Warning: This place is VERY expensive! The classes are $175 per month to go twice a week and you only get 40 minutes per class. Plus they close for a week at a time sometimes and close on testing days. Even after paying for expensive classes, you have to pay $185 for sparring gear, you have to pay $20 for 10 boards that you're required to break at each belt level, you have to pay $65 for testing and $10 more to do a private test at each belt level, you have to pay $50 to do one single event at a tournament, you have to pay $20 for t-shirts if you don't want to wear the uncomfortable dobok every class, and you have to pay crazy prices if you want to participate in any workshops or camps. They had a pizza and movie night that was $50 per person. And be warned again: You must give them 2-months notice that you intend to stop classes, if you don't, they will still bill you for 2 months even if you don't show up for class."

"Absolutely an amazing place! My son fell in love his first day and we've been going ever since. He's learned structure, discipline, self control, and "more" manners. He's eager to master his skills so he can move up and eventually earn his black belt. The instructors are amazing. Very hands on, knowledgeable, patient and skilled. I highly recommend this place."

"We saw Master Parks at the Back-to-School Care Fair that was held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center this year (2024). My 7 year old son wanted to try it out so we signed up for a 2 day trial. After the first session he loved it so much that we signed him up for the year program. And oh my goodness, he loves it and is doing so great! I love this TaeKwonDo location not only because my son loves it but they teach the kids, discipline, respect, and hard work. Also all the different instructors that we’ve had (which is switched up almost every session) has been so kind and helpful and you can definitely see that they want to help the kids to succeed! I would and will recommend this business to everyone I know and anyone that wants an amazing sport type program to enroll their kids in!!"
