"If I could give Brabo Academy 15 stars I would. For some background, I've been training BJJ for a year. While traveling to Virginia to visit some family, I wanted to continue to train and found Brabo Academy. There are three things that I absolutely loved about my week training at Brabo: 1. The instruction was outstanding. I very much enjoyed the range of classes offered (from beginner to advanced), as well as the lesson format that reinforced the lessons through positional sparring. 2. I really appreciated the wide schedule. If you can only train in the mornings, the afternoons, or at night, Brabo has a class to acomodate your schedule. 3. Alex, the owner and lead instructor, and his instructors were super kind and welcoming. The people teaching at Brabo are absolutely at the top of their art and are happy to help you improve. Also, if you're a parent, Brabo Academy has a great kids program! If I ever move to Chesapeake, I'd definitely make Brabo Academy my main gym."

"I was looking for a sport for my kid that wasn’t just organized chaos and participation trophies. Brabo is it. Professor Alex runs a tight ship with emphasis on discipline and respect. The community that comes with this place is amazing. I have loved getting to know all the parents and kids that roll with my kid. My 5 year old has really developed confidence in herself since she has been going. She is starting to understand what hard work and consistency means. It’s been amazing to watch her grow and learn and have a safe place to do that. And something like that is worth all the money in the world for your kid. They also do compete but professor never pushes someone to do it unless he thinks they are ready. Brabo academy has multiple kids that have placed in the top 3 in multiple age groups. Just further testament to how great it is. Stop looking around. Just enroll here. You won’t regret it. I cannot speak any higher of this academy."
