"I went in early February, but it was still some very pretty scenery with a nice maintained trail. There are a lot of docks that go out on the water with benches for sitting. I'm not sure if camping is allowed, but there are plenty of good places for it. There are several benchs and gazebos along the trail for resting/eating. The total trail loop is about 5 miles long. Overall, I was very impressed and plan to visit again when everything turns green."
"This is a great wedding venue. Beautiful views with dappled lighting through the trees throughout the park. I have rated it s 4 because it could have been better maintained. The place is very private and carries with it loads of history. Nice for a short day trip also!"
"I have been going here since before it was a park. The only reason I give 4 stars is the admission price. $12 per person is a little steep to see the houses."
"Excellent tour! You can hear the story of the fort told by individuals that have taken the time to research about this historic site. The historians are dressed for the part and they take you back in time as you walk around the fort. The replicas are amazing and they still have live animals on the site. If you are a history buff, I highly recommend."
"The park has Several miles of gravel walking trails through woods that bring u to scenic view points around parts of the river , ponds and marshes. There are benches and pavilions along the trails. the park also has exhibits and interesting educational reads about the engineering to reroute the river"
