"This is a very nice place which will give a clearer understanding Georgetown in the family who lived in this house. The guided tour was really good and our guide ‘Elisabeth’ was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful with all our questions."
"The reason for the 3 stars is because I went at a time when it was themed for the month of October. The tour was basically centered around what a funeral, death of a family member, would be like. The blacked out mirrors and windows, the mourning clothing and amount of time it was to be worn, and other traditions. I enjoyed hearing the history of the house and those related to it. For those going to tour the house just know that it does have a history of being slave owners which is talked about on the tour."
"I've photographed 2 small weddings at Tudor Place & both times have been exceptional in terms of the staff's service towards myself and the couples, cleanliness of the space, and beauty of the grounds itself. Both times they've granted the wedding party access to the East Lawn, Bowling Green, Rose Garden, and front of house. These make for scenic, clean backdrops for any wedding day. I highly recommend this space for anyone considering a small wedding ceremony of 50 of fewer guests."
"This house has a lot of rich history. It's a must place to visit in Georgetown. Our tour guide Hope was very friendly and explained with details all the history from this beautiful place. The gardens were beautiful and serene."
"The house is gorgeous. It’s a beautiful place to go, especially the gardens are super relaxing. However if you are hoping to your the house, your experience will be determined by your tour guide. The first time I went the house, my tour guy was so sweet and knew a lot about the house, he made the experience super interactive and he gave a fun speech that recognised the history of the house and the people who lived in it. The second time I visit, the tour guide was very different, she was more worried if you went near an object than giving a good tour, she was super passive aggressive about it and she seem to had a problem with me translating somethings to my parents, it took us almost 2:00h to do the tour and we left early. Honestly the house is beautiful but it’s luck if you actually get a nice tour."
