"I turned up without a reservation, having checked online that they had availability. The host was very accommodating and sorted me a room. Which was very nice and I really liked the decor. They have an honesty bar that was well stocked. The breakfast was excellent, they very proudly make a lot of homemade food. The host also took the time to talk about the history of the area. By far the best place I’ve stayed at on my trip in the USA."

"This was a lovely and elegantly appointed inn. We stayed in the Rhett Butler room. Very nice and comfortable. It has a gas fireplace but it was too warm to turn it on. One caution about this room is it has a step up to the bathroom. One doesn't expect that when opening the door to come out or in the middle of the night. The room had everything you might want even a fan in the closet. The breakfast you must not miss. A gourmet delight. The inn keepers were friendly. The price was affordable. The driveway in and out could be challenging if there are a few cars parked there. Lovely place."

"Owning 3 businesses our busy family is constantly traveling for meetings, and have stayed many places, so I'd like to say we are experts at hotels, bed and breakfast, and the like! This time we stayed here on the way back from myrtle beach, and wish we would have had a few more days to stay because we loved it! Beautiful place, clean and fun themed rooms (our son's name was inspired by Rhett Butler so of course we stayed in the Rhett Butler room!), the owners were very accommodating and friendly! Next time we go through or near this town for vacation we will be staying here and do a few days instead of just one!"

"Bluefield inn is a wonderful halfway point and stop between my two locals. Great location and they allow pets, which is wonderful since I have a sweet kitty who I bring with me during my travels. There are a few different options for rooms, many of which are pet friendly rooms for both cats and dogs. I have stayed in the Martha room and the Kennedy cottage and have loved both. The amenities are great within the room with an updated room, wood floors, and a smart TV. Coffee is available as is bottled water right in your room for no charge. And the air conditioning works very well to keep you as cold as you'd like! The staff is wonderful to work with and to talk with. Breakfast is homemade every single morning and is presented in a gourmet Manor in the breakfast room. I look forward to the breakfast I have while staying here, as it gets me going for the day of travel I have ahead of me. And the juice served at breakfast is to die for! A self-help bar with wine and beer is available for those who enjoy a relaxing beverage in the evening. Parking is also easy and very near the rooms, as I have always found a space right in front of my room each time I stayed. If you are traveling through the area and especially if your midway point is around Virginia / West Virginia, then I highly recommend you check out Bluefield Inn. And if you are traveling with a pet and yes that can include a cat, then you will be right at home here. The owners love animals and my baby kitty got along with the owners very well. They know what they're doing when it comes to pets."
