Farm Fresh

"I’ve had it with this store. I try so hard to love it because it’s our neighborhood grocery store. The security guards are always so nice and pleasant. But for the love of god….double check everything you pick up off the shelf. So much expired food. Just bought some crunchy tortillas as a quick needed item on the way home. They are expired from three months ago. I want to love this store. I really do, but it’s just gross. I understand food desert, and I do not want to see this store go. I just want to buy things that aren’t expired, and make more of your food items scalable. Because when I get to checkout, they always take back a bunch of my selections, because I don’t want to walk back and go take pictures of the items that don’t scan so we know the prices. Basic requests."

"Favorite thing about Farm Fresh is the local VA actual "farm fresh" milk products they carry in the good ole days glass bottles. The milk has a definite taste difference vs the run of the mill mass produced brands. Don't forget to grab the chocolate milk in the glass bottle if that's your thing as well!! It's whole milk and so creamy its as if it's chocolate ice cream and milk. #worthit"

"I've been here a few times now. I can't say enough good things about the baked chicken. The people behind the deli counter are very nice and helpful. However, the produce ranges from OK to pretty sad looking. Their scallions were a wilted abomination last weekend. The broccoli was brown. I did find some nice-looking cauliflower and I bought snap peas and snow peas. You have to check all the expiration dates carefully - snow peas were expired, but they cooked up just fine. They do have a really good selection of ciders - I recommend checking those out. I go here mainly because I can't find everything I want at Whole Foods."

"Hot food is good with a home cook taste and reasonable prices. Fish Chicken Pork chop Mac and cheese Cornbread Greens. Salad bar."

"Wow, this was the first time that I've been to a Farm Fresh in years. There aren't many left in my area, however Richmond, VA has one. Farm Fresh historically has some of the best cooked Chicke (grilled or Fried) that you will find. By the time we got there on this night, it was past dinner time. They did however have a great selection of wines. The customer service was friendly, & they also have an Amazon locker at the front of the store as well."
