It’s nice getting my eco conscious & zero/low waste supplies here because I get to see, feel and smell everything before I buy rather than dong guess work online & paying for shipping. I love their bar shampoos, the Swedish dish cloths and the refillable candle scents that they have. The staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend for anyone living in Richmond & anyone visiting as well."

"My favorite store in Richmond. Richmond's terrible recycling has made me more conscious of the trash that my partner and I throw out: shampoo bottles and empty deodorant sticks, etc. It's all so wasteful. We stumbled into Less Than completely by accident while checking out the bookstore nextdoor. Suddenly all our most plastic-heavy purchases can be zero waste! Toothpaste, dishwasher pods, moisturizer, all things that come in needlessly plastic-heavy packaging can now be refilled in glass bottles brought from home. If you've ever had the thought, "why don't they let you bring glass bottles to the store and just refill your sodas, instead of wasting a plastic bottle every time?" Less Than is the place for you. Almost. They don't do grocery items and it's mostly bath & body products so far. But you'll be surprised how much trash you can eliminate from your daily life by supporting this awesome business. I hope they'll continue to expand their products to other household things, like toilet paper that doesn't come plastic wrapped, and maybe gay-friendly refills like fiber pills."

"Ah what a find! This store is a conscious-consumers dream come true. About half of the shop is dedicated to product refills of all sorts of cleaning and beauty equipment - from bath scrubs to hand soap to dog shampoo. New containers/jars can be purchased or free, sanitized upcycled jars are available as well. The other half of the shop features all sorts of eco-friendly products - I saw reusable kitchen gloves, swedish dishcloths, vegan dental floss, wooden hairbrushes, lotions, soaps, lip balms, etc. The list goes on and on. Although they offer such a wide range of products, everything felt clean and orderly and very well presented. I was very impressed. Likely will be making visiting Less Than a regular part of my routine, and recommend it to all!"
