"Great place to tour when they have an open house, but be prepared for lots of walking. It's a huge campus."
"Spent the day here during the open house. Absolutely wonderful did not get to see everything. It was about an hour and a quarter weight to get on to the tour bus 8 minutes to the actual place. Lots of fun. Lots of walking!"
"Was supposed to go to the Open House 2023. What seemed to be a well planned event, turned out to be a big disappointment. I would be embarrassed if I would have been responsible for the execution of this event. Communication and management of parking and transportation to the event was terrible to say at least. If you plan an event where you don’t have parking on site, so that folks can walk to the actual event, you have to make sure that your transportation from and to the parking lot works flawlessly and if it turns out to be a struggle at the day of the event, you have to make adjustments at the event. None of that was done here at Langley. We arrived shortly before 12 at the VPCC parking lot and waited for almost 3 hours in line, just to be told at 2:30 that there will be no more shuttle service to the facility. During the 3 hours wait, there was no communication from any of the staff that shuttle service would stop at 2:30 for an event that was supposed to run until 4. The only communication to people waiting behind us was that shuttle service would run until 2:45. But that information was only relayed to people waiting like 50 spots behind us. I would say at least 300+ people were still waiting in line at that moment and many more were not that patient and gave up before. NASA was aware of the people trying to attend this event and did fail miserably to plan accordingly. I hope this gets reviewed by the event coordinator and things will be done for the people who had to waste an entire day because of terrible planning from NASA. This event should have been a great event to show young people what great work NASA does. However I believe that NASA lost many potential today!"
"Omg yes This Place Is So Awesome and Amazing There,s So Many facts and also Rocket launches were launched here in Hampton in Virginia Which is pretty cool That Were very close to the action In the 4 figures 4 black women were engineering technology of sending astronauts,s to space. "I was honored to be able to visit NASA’s LARC for the NASA WEAR Challenge. The employees at the LARC are AWESOME and represent just how NASA is changing the world and helping people live out their dream jobs. The history behind the research center is truly astonishing and really helps us to think back at all of the amazing things NASA has done to help progress the human species forward. I hope one day to return to NASA’s LARC working as an Aerospace engineer and helping NASA go beyond expectations and making more stunning new discoveries. Not only has NASA and its employees at LARC inspired me, it has set me off and pushed me to pursue my dreams no matter what stands in my way. Thank you NASA and your employees. Keep doing the good that you do and keep “shooting for the stars!” PS I’d give this review 6/5 stars if I could :)"
