"We buy almost all of our groceries here at this point. Prices are higher on some items but the quality is far better and more local than what they sell at Kroger. We should all be doing our part do dismantle corporatized agriculture"
"Love the Co+op. Little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The fruit and vegetable selection is amazing. Definitely check the sales"
"Used to love shopping here but twice I have been rudely spoken to by the tall man with curly blonde hair because I have a service dog. He is clearly wearing red that says SERVICE DOG and he has asked me both times and had an attitude about it."
"Revised 02/14/2022 Great little full service market in Grandin Village. Firstly, the parking, including accessible slots, is along the building's side, a few steps outside the door - fantastic! The bulk spices, teas and dried herbs are better and less expensive than anything available in the usual small supermarket boxes. Box items like macaroni and cheese are similar to those sold in large grocery stores. However, diligent perusal of shelves shows, much to my delight, items like macaroni with pumpkin and sweet potatoes. For me, the highlight of a shopping trip to the Co-Op s the tiny bakery section at the rear of the stores. The area around the bakery has recently been converted to a hot dish and salad bar. Items are available by scale weight for eat-in at the front of the store or take-out. The bakery still carries everything from delicious bread to sweets like scones and cookies. The Co-Op also carries a good assortment of standard grocery-store fare, most of what is available on any given day, is organic and some portion may be GMO. ***I am happy to say that my recent shopping visit to the Co-Op showed radical changes in the Produce section. My attached photos show that leafy Greens are now under an intermittent sprinkler system that keeps them dewy fresh. Other highly perishable items are displayed on refrigerated shelves. Root veggies and and fruits with thick skins like apples and citrus are attractively and enticingly displayed. Floral bouquets showed some improvement, but quality is still lacking for the price charged."
"This is a superbly run cooperative, a fun place to visit and the best deal around on a great salad bar. You don’t need to be a member to shop or dine here. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout. The magnifying glass on a string in the supplements section delighted the heart of this near sighted senior (last photo)."
