"This organization is the worst managed institution EVER. People spend thousands of dollars to attend the exams and they can't manage to proper scheduling and communications. They are not responsive, nor helpful. Preparing & studying for those exams takes hundreds of hours and they cancel them or reschedule without notice, and when they do it's impossible to register to the next one properly in a closeby date, they give you a date 6-9 months later so you have to re-study all over. I am really confused why they can't afford a better customer service and organization from the enormous exam fees and membership amount."
"Terrible customer service. You have to wait at least 1 month for a reply via email. More importantly however, CFA institute pretends to have the highest standards which apparently do not apply to themselves. The situation is as follows. I requested a resolution process as I did not apply for my exam locations (which is my fault) however I did not receive any emails on this. CFA institute claimed they have provided my with emails and many reminders. I received print screens from their internal system indicating that the sent multiple emails to me. Nowhere I was able to spot my name on the print screens. Important prior to this, I had a technical issue with my name and email adress - CFA confirmed that they corrected the mistake in their IT system by email. I bomborded them with emails, I received a general email (sent to everyone) that they need to confirm the names and email adressess. Once CFA determined that they THINK they are right you cannot do anything as they wont respond anymore. So in short: • CFA had no reasonable effort and adequate basis for their conclusions. The printscreen does not say anything. CFA institute could have used the printscreen as evidence that the e-mail would have been sent to either Donald Trump or Joe Biden. • CFA has not shown to have adequate record retention. Simply a forward of the email would have been satisfactory."
"Communicating with CFA Institute is the worst nightmare I've had. They are not responsive even helpful even you paid thousands of dollars. First, CFA closed the registration for August 2021 exam before official deadline without any advance notice, they just said that too many people registered but they never announced the early closing on their website nor through email. Second, I had some unfortunate incident and urgently looked for their help to reschedule or re-register the exam, after 40 min wait over the phone, the representative just asked me to email them. However, it takes more than two weeks for them to reply and usually they just said they had nothing to help. Everyone paid thousands of dollars to take the exam and hundreds of dollars to keep the membership, but I am really confused why they even could not afford a better customer service? It has been around one month since I asked for their help, the deadline for registering February exam is approaching but I still have not receive any help from them to re-register my exam. If they ever responded me in time, I could have scheduled my exam this November. My lord father, I do not want my dream ruined just due to the sluggish and irresponsible communication!"
