"While the crew and staff were both very professional and hardworking, the product was simply extremely overpriced. Was charged $4,700 for 330 square feet on a new install (14.25 per installed foot). Labor totaled 27 man hours (by my count) putting labor costs alone well over $100 per man-hour. I knew prices were up due to COVID and that wood stock was hard to come by. For this reason, I went forward, but specified I would expect a high quality install. Unfortunately, the quality of wood was extremely sub-par. I was told after the fact that the stock was of such bad quality that the installers had to throw out two complete bundles across the 13 they had. Whole sections of the install were completed with board lengths averaging 20-24 inches which should not be the case and certainly did match the other 2700 square feet of my house which as expected is constructed with much larger spans (which was the whole point of the install). Overall a high quality installer which in this case unfortunately produced a lower quality product at a very high end price point."
