Great Wall

"Very Disappointed! This place previously had good food, not anymore! Food was so greasy it puddled in the container, yet i squeezed out what i thought was enough oil for consumption, but no. I felt sick while eating and could not and did not want to finish eating this meal."

"I did not see any eat-in facilities here (just as well, as we'd ordered takeout), but I was both impressed and relieved with my experience: * impressed because Great Wall is efficient (expeditious and precise), well-kept (scrupulously clean), and equipped with very friendly (helpful!) staff; and * relieved because, amid Roanoke's startling abundance of bland and mediocre restaurants, the food was delicious and affordable."

"Got the food home, it was not hot or fresh. It tasted old like it had been sitting for awhile. When I ordered over the phone while on my way I was told my food would be ready in ten minutes, that was a red flag to begin with. You can't complain to these folks because they don't believe in re-making food, or giving you your money back. Will never order from here again. Do not recommend anyone to eat from here. As expensive as they are it's not worth wasting your money on!!"

"DO NOT GO THERE!!! The food was TERRIBLE, literally inedible! It was BURNT, contained foreign plastic-like matter, and was so greasy that a disgusting layer of grease remained, as did indigestion! When I called to inform them, they said that’s the way it is made? The look of the restaurant should have been a red flag. I basically paid $30 for a plastic container because that’s all I kept. SHAMEFUL!!!"

"LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE, THE PEOPLE AND THE FOOD. I have been eating Great Wall for over 30 years. I used to visit my grandfather in Roanoke and we ate there every single time. Never had a bad meal, never had to wait, never had bad service. I moved to Roanoke 15 years ago and we get take out 2 times a month. This is a Roanoke Landmark."
