"Coastal Ride was a very excellent service and I appreciated the gentleman's service he provided for me when my car was broke down very good gentleman. It was a few nights ago my car wouldn't start after I left Firehouse Subs to get in my car this guy was there in about 7 or 8 minutes very good individual."

"I tried this service because unlike Uber/Lyft, Coastal Ride promises they have access to military bases & I needed a ride from inside a base to the airport so this service seemed perfect for my needs. I booked my ride two days in advance & I got a confirmation link with the date/time/address of pickup, so it all seemed good until the day and time of the ride arrived and no vehicle showed up. Calling their number got me an automated voice that kept saying they're still looking for a driver. If I requested an estimated wait time, the automated voice just basically said sorry, they don't know, & then the call would end. I figured out that I could speak to an actual person instead of the automated voice if I requested to edit the existing ride, so I did that a few times, but they kept telling me to wait another 5 to 10 minutes, then after 10 minutes I'd call again and they'd say again to wait yet another 5 to 10 minutes. Eventually I gave up & had to walk off the base while carrying all my luggage and then pay for an Uber to come pick me up outside the base. By the time I canceled my Coastal Ride appointment, it was already 50 minutes past the scheduled pickup time, but I still hadn't seen any progress from Coastal Ride ever actually finding a driver for me."

"Just had a driver merge lanes while turning (illegal) almost hitting me on Independence/VA Beach Blvd. Cab # 765, I blew my horn. Driver didn't seem to even notice as he was on the phone. Dangerous and unprofessional."

"I took a cab from my house to a store. It was early morning NO TRAFFIC. My fare was 19.10. I took the same ride back home same route. It was 16.40. The traffic was a little heavier. How was that possible? I called the company for an explanation. I'm still waiting. That was 5 days ago. Update Sept 20th 2023. Still no phone call. Everyone seems to want the money but delivers a SUBSTANDARD PRODUCT or SERVICE."

"I tried booking a cab for inner city transport and found a van in the back of a convenience store parking lot. He insisted on not honouring my request and we ended up exchanging words and fighting in the parking lot. He cared nothing about wounded warriors or vets despite to decal on the back of the van that hosted the phone number and company name. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone seeking a safe ride or cab service."
