"This is absolutely not a fine dining restaurant. I’m sorry but this place seriously lacked. I was really excited based on the reviews but the food is way overpriced for what you get. My food was terrible. We had a massive group of people taking up half the dining room meanwhile I’m trying to enjoy my subpar $100 meal while I have a group of people hovering over my table. The server was polite but I would never go back here. The only positive to it was the view of the slopes. Also - they put some weird sauce on your steak."

"Quaint and cute local restaurant with a view. Good food and vibes but simple with limited decor and ambience. Service was good and they stayed open until 9pm which appears to be a thing or a big deal in this town given the fact that no one wants to work any more. We shared an app and a main course. The steak was cooked properly and it tasted good but the $40 price tag was a lil punchy for what it was...I know ski town pricing and tourists..Good place to go and get a good meal given the limited restaurants open and available. "My wife and I decided to get a drink on Beech and really wanted a view. We stopped at the new location for the Alpen Restaurant (shared building with Bullwinkels Pizza) and decided to sit outside on their deck that overlooks the slope. They have a great bourbon selection and we settled on a couple of Buffalo Trace cocktails on the rocks. We were hungry and ordered the spinach & artichoke app…wow, it was fantastic!!! Great experience and the staff was really nice. They are expanding too, building a larger dining room. This is really worth a visit if you are up on Beech."

"Mixed opinion. I made a reservation here for my wife’s birthday based on the pictures and menu online. We arrived expecting fine dining. The atmosphere had more or a local diner than fine dining. The food was good, however not what was represented. I ordered a NY strip but received a ribeye. My wife enjoyed her chicken florentine. We both agree the sides were just okay. The wine, however, was great! The cheesecake and tiramisu was delicious! The service was great despite being completely swamped. In my opinion, the atmosphere could use a revamp or the prices lowered a bit."
