"They do excellent work. This is my second braiding. The technician was friendly. The prices are reasonable. Hair is included wash is not. Parking is limited. Call 15 mins before so they are waiting on you. Be clear on the style and price you want. I pay in cash. They should consider automating appointments and receipts. I would visit them again."

"I went back to this hair braiding place because they did a good job braiding my hair. What I didn't like was how they treated me when it was time to pay. They take cash only and did not communicate this when I made the appointment. I had to go to the ATM next door to pay them. Nevermind the fact they overcharged, because they didn't wash my hair. I called a few weeks later to have my braids tighten and I asked how much it would cost and was quoted $80. I communicated with then earlier in the day that I would be 15 minutes late and she said no problem. I get there and she has someone in her chair and waited over an hour. Six hours later, she finished 'tightening' my hair and I go to pay with $80 cash and abruptly tells me it's $140! Then the sister chimes in and says the other woman who was getting her hair braided paid more! At this point I am tired and over these women. I tell her this is all the cash I have and then she says I can pay with CashApp. Again, she did not wash my hair or did any treatment to it or my scalp. She barely put any oil on my scalp and hair. Oh! And she pulled on my already fragile natural hair to the point of my forehead looking as if I just did botox! Never again will a go to this hair braiding place again."

"I had an appointment at 5:30pm. Arrived on time just to find the doors locked. I called the number talk to someone who told me they were on the way. I wanted until 6pm. Still no one showed up. Poor service"

"I read the reviews for this shop and it’s the only reason I went to begin with. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted and she proceeded. I then stop her because I felt that she was not doing what I wanted and asked “ You are doing the style I showed you, right?” ( of course not!) that lady was doing whatever she felt and I paid her! My usual stylist was unable to do my hair that day and after I expressed how I felt about the experience @ Sofia’s; She apologized and braided my hair exactly as I wanted, free of charge!"
