"Ron Steele/Erie insurance is fantastic. I'm not sure how to elaborate on the super interestingness of insurance, so here's my bullet points... 1) I've been with them since I was 16 - so 12 years now. During the most expensive parts of a young adults life (insurance wise) not a single other provider has EVER offered a lower rate. For me they are consistently ~20% lower than other rates I have gotten. 2) In 2008 I crashed my car. I had never spoken to anyone here directly. I called to report it and they were genuinely concerned, and asked several questions just to make sure I was OK. I gave them the other parties insurance, they told me to rest and call if needed. 48 hours later they checked back in to make sure I was OK, all was good. Another 48 hours later they called to say everything was taken care of, and my car would be fixed within 2 weeks. Everything was handled quick, professionally, and with no hassle at all. 3) I have moved every year since 2010. Each time, a 45 second phone call is all it takes and they update/reissue all my insurance information. Again no upselling or hassle. A simple task but so refreshing because its so easy here. Erie insurance as a whole is a little different because they hardly advertise, so they are very much in the background of life - exactly how insurance should be IMO. Bottom line: best rates I've ever found, best service I can imagine, genuinely nice and caring people. Definitely look into them."
