"Dr. Carson has very excellent bedside manner; however, his staff is another matter. This rating is for his back staff & does not reflect the caring doctor that I met 2 mos ago. I had & have a billing issue w/this office. They billed my visit as a consultation. I did not take records there for the dr. to review and we did not sit in his office & discuss if he agreed with the findings of these records. I had an exam by the dr., an x-ray, & then, was told the best course of treatment to proceed. I agreed with him. I all along was stupidly under the impression that his billing office had spoken w/my ins. co. NOPE, they had not. They billed as a consultation, my ins. denied that procedure code. I asked them why did they bill that way and their response was that's how they bill. I NEVER would hv went there if I had only known. They (the staff) are literally stealing money from patients. To make this long story short, I had a disagreement w/the office manager & in particularly Ashley. When the scheduler called today to confirm my appt for next wk, I told her that I needed to clear it w/my ins co. She transferred me to Ashley. I told Ashley I did not want to speak w/her. Someone tried to call me back but I was unable to answer the phone @ that time. They proceeded to send me the following nasty text message: "Hi... this is the Office of Dr. Larusso and Dr. Carson's office. The previous balance of $200... plus a deposit of $675 total due the day of surgery... We would bill your insurance after...if there was a balance after insurance, you would hv 90 days to pay... If you would like to hold off on your surgery and pre-authorize w/your ins we can do that...If we do not hear from you by 4pm today, the appt. will automatically be cancelled." Can you believe that they do not pre-authorize? I don't know if the drs are aware or if that's how they like their office to run, but that's unfair to the patient. I will be reporting this to CMS. My dental covers what they will cover 100%. I like to know who would not like to know what their ins. will pay up front. I do not trust the care that I would get from this practice. I'm not speaking of the dr but the staff."

"Their reception has no experience and she's very rude nad nasty! I'm sitting here more than 30 mins and I'm the only patient here they didn't even notice I'm here! They're just getting paid to sit in office and chat!"

"I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Carson on January 11 and he was wonderful! So personable and kind, he really put my mind at ease-as I walked in very anxious about the procedure. His assistants were kind and sweet and I enjoyed them both a lot. I wish I could remember their names. My only complaint is that the original front staff person I scheduled with really rushed me when I was trying to get scheduled and didn’t explain anything to me and sounded very irritated when I asked questions and offered my drug allergies. When I called back to confirm the appointment the second person I talked to was much sweeter and much more patient with me but she had said they were going to call in Valium for prior to the procedure and unfortunately that was not prepared at the pharmacy until after the procedure but Dr. Carson and his assistants did a great job keeping me calm even without it. Aside from the original grumpy lady I talked to overall it was a pleasant experience!"
