"Didn’t get my deposit back on my card have called for days with no answer very disappointing will not go back"
"Very easy to drop off one way rental."
"Doug was such an incredibly nice guy and a great help. My family and I just moved to town and he spent over 10 minutes sharing recommendations for properly getting settled around the area. I highly recommend."
"Despite us reserving a uhaul over a week in advance of pickup, this location refused to hold a van for us and instead told us to drive over an hour and a half away to pick up an alternative uhaul (which they informed us of the night before we were supposed to pick up the U-Haul and move cross country). Conveniently, on the move out weekend for all college students in the area, the “credit card machine was down” and “everyone needed to pay in cash.” The uhaul that was sitting out front, that we had reserved in advance, was sold to another customer right in front of us for cash, all the while the owner maintained that he “didn’t have any U-Hauls,” despite U-Haul customer service repeatedly telling us that in their system he had several available. No comment on the other u-hauls parked behind his shop. This business strongly smells of sketchy behavior- it doesn’t take much creativity to guess why this operator wouldn’t want to report his true sales to U-Haul (or the IRS for that matter). No wonder they’re not even a part of the Better Business Bureau after 44 years of doing business in Lexington, they probably wouldn't be able to stand up to the standards. Do yourself a favor and avoid this “business” at all costs. It is well worth a drive to Roanoke to avoid their predatory business practices."
