Montano's International Gourmet

"We make it out to Montano's as much as we can, which is around once every couple of months. Every time our sandwiches are amazing! We absolutely love when we have time to sit down and have a meal at Montano's. This restaurant is consistent. You get the same awesome sandwich each time you order it and every sandwich we've tried on the menu has been delicious this is not your average restaurant. I highly recommend!"

"They have a very big menu with a lot of good options. Everything we’ve had so far has been delicious (Philly cheesesteak, banh mi, fish tacos, scallops). The drink options are pretty good to, just takes a little long to get a drink sometimes. Will definitely continue to go back here!"

"Working my way through the menu trying to find something that isn't great. All the food they make is delicious. Can't speak to the desserts though as I haven't tried those yet. Drinks take quite a while to come from the bar so consider ordering it well ahead if you want to enjoy it with your meal. Servers are always really friendly and attentive."

"Came here as part of a family get together. Everything we ordered was delicious, but I have to give a special shout out to the chipotle salmon and the coconut cake, those were both truly amazing! Overall it was a lovely evening, and I would definitely be interested in coming here again. We got a reservation ahead of time, which seems to have been a wise idea since it did end up getting pretty full, even on a weekday night. The menu has a large variety of options, including a lot of steak or seafood dishes. Didn’t see that many vegetarian options though. The overall atmosphere is pretty nice, though it felt a little cramped when all the tables were full (at least at our corner table location). There’s also a front counter where you can buy desserts and coffee without getting a full meal at the main restaurant, which is really nice since their desserts are excellent, and a lot of the rest of the menu is on the pricey side."

"Overall, this place lives up to the status quo in Roanoke. Hyped up reviews for subpar tasting food. Should’ve cooked at home tonight! Here is a summary of our meal: - The spin dip is supposed to come with “Italian toast” per the menu but instead comes with stale pita bread. We couldn’t even eat the appetizer. - The Brazilian churrasco is BLAND and does not come with any chimichurri sauce. It literally has zero seasoning on the meat (not even salt) and even though I ordered medium rare, it was medium-well and very tough/gristly. The sides weren’t any better - the beans were so tangy I thought I was biting straight into a bitter orange and again, no other seasoning to go with the strange veggies. I was told the steak came over pasta so we were very confused when we saw the accompaniments. - The bolognese is made with angel hair… why would anyone pair these when that thin of a pasta doesn’t allow the sauce to stick to it. So basically, you’re eating watered down angel hair without enough meat sauce. Had to add my own sauce from the fridge."
