"Staying over in Roanoke and decided to try Due South. Was Not Disappointed. Had a Combo plate of brisket (sliced, not chopped) and chicken with a side of sweet potato casserole. The sweet potato casserole is phenomenal. The chicken and brisket were very good. The selection of sauces was amazing. If you love BBQ and in the area, this is a great choice. It's not a fancy place but the staff is very friendly. I totally recommend."
"I order to go the half rack rib, chicken tender plate and a brisket gotta say food are amazingly good .. gave this place a try u won’t regret it.. they know what they doing"
"Stopped at Due South Bbq while passing through Virginia while looking for a good place to eat hush puppies and bbq and have to say this truly is the place to go. The restaurant is adorable inside and out and the fast casual dining experience is quick and easy. I ordered the half rack of rips which comes with a side (i got the house mac and cheese) and 3 hush puppies that was delicious. They also have a variety of homemade sauces and Gf options. The customer service was great and I also got the chance to meet one of the owners who’s a pretty nice guy. Def need to stop if you’re passing through Roanoke Virginia."
"I was expecting real southern bbq. I got a jumbo brisket sandwich, Mac n cheese, and jalapeño poppers. It was $30. The “brisket” was just stew meat. No smoke flavor, no tasty burnt ends, it was literally just beef stew meat on a bun. The jalapeño poppers aren’t made in house either. I’m just flabbergasted that this place is still in business serving crock pot beef stew meat on a bun and calling it “brisket”. I’m 20 years old and cook a brisket better than this place. I’m willing to bet that they use an insta pot to cook the “brisket” in about 45 minutes. $30 I’ll never get back because I wanted to try a new restaurant. I WILL NEVER RETURN, unless I feel like showing them what a real smoked brisket tastes like."
"Enjoyed the BBQ on our way South. Not the best BBQ we ever had but they hit the high points. Reasonably priced, good portions, tasty sauces. I had the salad, yep salad! Organic lettuce topped with shredded cheese and tasty pulled pork. They had a homemade ranch dressing that was very tasty. Hubby had the half chicken with a crispy skin, but a bit under done for his tastes...don't like to see red at the bone. Came with hush puppies and pretty bland green beans. Fried pickles were great dipping in their new Alabama sauce. All in all a good lunch on the road!"
