"Multiple prescriptions over the last several months for our family - no calls, they pretend to not have received them, they do not pick up the phone or provide service in any timely fashion. I truly worry and feel for those in our community that are truly sick, elderly and/or depend on their medications for their health and safety. This pharmacy needs a complete overhaul and corporate needs to address them from cleanliness, to management and beyond. Lexington should have a suitable pharmacy available at highest standards, especially given that it serves locals, tourists and thousands of students on nearby campuses in the area....truly hope to see some positive changes in the near future. For the meantime, though there are very few options out here, our family cannot recommend this place. They do not take the time, health, or concerns of its community seriously. And to note, some of the women working in there are the most vile, unfriendly folks I have encountered out here in RC..and many people have mentioned the same in their experiences. They need training in compassion and customer service; CVS corp offices/city of Lexington, please take note. And also be mindful we have seen lines of cars turned away at the window, due to no drug avaibility, no staff, etc. Atrocious wait times also, same in-store. Forget small-town living or peace because this place does not provide any of that in any sense. From experience, this place will sit on presciptions for weeks, and never fill it - so much for anyone with a child or self with a serious infection, chemo, insulin requirement or other. Shameful to say the very least...we can only provide the feedback and hope someone who makes decisions sees all the negative reviews and does something positive about it. Sometimes it only takes ONE person to make a change."
"After reading the other reviews I can see that not much has changed in the last 6-8 months. A few years ago I switched my RX from Walmart to CVS because It was a hassle to go into Walmart just for an RX. All was well for about two years, but for some reason last year everything went down hill. The auto refill is ignored most of the time, and I don't get the notifications when my RX is ready. One time while waiting for a refill I got a message that stated the RX I requested was no longer available for pick up and was put back on the shelf, but I never got a message telling me it was ready to begin with. I like the location of this CVS, but I will have to change my RX to a more reliable pharmacy. I do not have time to deal with all the miscommunication and the ignoring of my pharmaceutical needs. I am looking into mail order."
"I wouldn't trust these cretins to run a lemonade stand. In terms of filling prescriptions, they certainly take their time, ill give em that. There have been times when I literally waited an hour and a half at this god-forsaken place only to be told that "itll be ready" tomorrow, only for me to come the next day and be told the same thing! I know insurance companies suck, but good lord is this the most poorly run establishment I have ever seen in my entire life!"
"Zero would be best! The worst pharmacy in this area and switching immediately! Filed complaints and nothing is ever done, Pharmacy manager thinks it’s a joke for his pharmacy to keep making mistakes. Also refused to give me meds that I was already out and tried telling me that I don’t take the prescription that I do or the dosage…. Of course they didn’t look to see I had 2 prescriptions for the same meds before they got rude."
"Actually, zero stars. Ever since the pandemic was declared over, the CVS pharmacy has been unable to do anything in a timely manner, from answering the phones to filling prescriptions. I have waited upwards of 30 minutes on hold before giving up and driving to the store. There you usually find a line at the pharmacy counter as long as one of the aisles. The drive through window has been closed for several weeks due to lack of staffing. I have seen up to 6 people working so I don't know how many are really needed. My wife and I have a couple of prescriptions that are not covered by Medicare but are discounted through Good Rx. When refilled we would get a text message that they aren't covered by insurance followed a few minutes later by a message that they are ready to be picked up. They were processed through Good Rx with no problem. Lately we have been getting the message that CVS is contacting our doctor for a substitute medication. After giving up on calling, I drove into town to CVS and was told that they no longer check your profile for other coverage. They just try to change our prescriptions (without our permission) or cancel it entirely. When they do bother to fill pur prescriptions, it can take anywhere from 3 to 5 days if in stock, 7 or longer if out of stock. Staff seem to feel that you are a bother to them. I went in one time to fix something that CVS screwed up. I was angry because I was almost out of my medication and they already had the order for several days. I felt I was firm but polite. The pharmacist told me I was making her nervous. Today, Sunday October 30, was the final straw. Our doctor had sent in (electronically) a script for both my wife and me on Thursday. After getting a text on Friday saying they had to contact our doctor for an alternative script and waiting 15 minutes on hold with no answer, I drove into town. It took about 20 minutes for them to straighten out (Good Rx instead of Medicare), I was told our meds would be ready on Saturday. Saturday came and went with no notification. Finally, this morning I got a text that my wife's med was ready for pickup. I tried to call the pharmacy to find out about mine. The pharmacy was closed! I contacted someone in the front of the store and was told they could not find enough people to staff the pharmacy and it was closed. Will it be open tomorrow? Will my script be ready? I hope so as I am now out of my medication. We'll be looking for a new pharmacy (Kroger is right next door. We have a couple of scripts there and never had a problem. )."
