Szechuan Restaurant

"Our food was served in Styrofoam as well as our drink. We were given plastic utensils. Of course, we ate at lunch on a Saturday, but for the prices and atmosphere, that seemed rather crude. When we walked through the door, there was a table blocking off the front area. We were given a menu, told to go look at it, and then come back to the register to order. Is customer service dead, or were they short staffed? One and done for us. We could have gone many other places for lunch and been treated normally. I will say the young man that took our order and brought our food to us did a good job at checking on us."

"This is a great place for dine-in and pick up. The staff, food is great! I like the people and food here. BEWARE! They use Door Dash as a delivery service. I placed an order through the restaurant official website and later got a Door Dash "canceled" text. Door Dash? I placed the order through the official website. I called the app "dasher" and he told me that he "tripped" and spilled all of the food order and that the restaurant was already making a new order. When I called the restaurant, they had no idea what was going on. The Door Dash dude stole my meal. Don't use 3rd Party delivery! Just go to the restaurant and get the good food yourself."

"This place at first seemed promising due to the impressive menu, the reviews, and the newspaper article they posted on their windows. But unfortunately it was not what we were hoping. I got Shrimp Ja jiam mein which on the menu states is the most authentic noodle dish they serve. This dish was sad tiny shrimp, some tiny vegetables, a very mild sauce that was supposed to be spicy served with SPAGHETTI NOODLES. NOT a traditional Chinese noodle at all. The other disappointment we were served was Peking Duck, this dish was served not as a whole duck as you would imagine but a serving of shredded dry tasteless meat with some burnt unspiced skin layed on top. It was also supposed to have chinese pancakes served along side but instead it came with spanish style flour tortillas. I admit we got the half duck and this would have been a fine way to serve it if it had had flavor. This was a disgraceful portrayal of Chinese food and a very disappointing meal. We wil never return."

"Sushi was amazing!! Got the combo #2 and the rolls were good except the big roll that was hot with chicken stir fry in it. Not a fan at all. Wish they had a 5 or 6 roll combo that allowed to pick your rolls from a pre selected assortment."

"Food was great, and the sushi was very fresh! Never been here before and I have lived in Roanoke for 10 years. Staff was friendly and service was on point. The place is very clean and so is the staff. Love the salt water tank when you walk in!"
