"We ordered their Egusi goat soup with sides plantain fufu and coconut rice; Goat Stew with sides jollof rice and fried rice; and Lamb suya. All of them were delicious! We reached there at 8:15 pm and wanted to order for takeout. They first refused to take any orders even though online they said that they stop taking orders after 8:30. However, later they talked with their manager and decided to take our order (thankfully)! So, we felt they need to improve their service. But overall it is a nice restaurant and a great addition in Virginia Beach!"

"Vibrant Vibes and Flavorful Feasts Yendidi wasn't just a meal, it was an experience. From the moment we walked in, the owner's warm welcome made us feel like invited guests, not just customers. The decor was stunning - modern and inviting, with the kind of atmosphere that sets the mood for a perfect weekend evening. Great selection of music, TVs on playing in background , and even though they were missing a few drink ingredients, the staff handled it with such genuine grace that it didn’t even impact the dinner. Now, while the appetizers took a bit longer than expected to arrive, and didn't all come out at once, once they did, they were worth the wait. Just maybe next time the cook should think about frying the shrimp a little less longer because they were too crispy not a miss though. The flavors were incredible, the grilled chicken, perfectly seasoned and juicy, held its own alongside the Yendidi wings, which offered a delicious echo of the entree (not a bad thing!). The yellow rice was cooked to fluffy perfection, and the steamed vegetables, often an afterthought, were surprisingly vibrant and fresh. Don't even get me started on the lemon cake - a perfect touch to cap off the meal. We spent $120 but for the ambiance, the impeccable service, and the explosion of flavor in every bite, I'd say it was money well spent. Yendidi isn't just a restaurant, it's a celebration of taste, community, and good vibes. "Overall, food tasted great and it was a wonderful first time experience trying African cuisine. I forgot to ask the waiter what region the food is from but it was delicious. I ordered the goat tomato stew with jollof rice and sautéed mushrooms on side. The stew was so flavorful and the spices were on a different level from other types of stews I’ve had in general. I would compare to a slightly spicier and bolder taste of Filipino caldereta. We also ordered samosa appetizers and those were delicious. Bold spices and the sweet/tangy sauce paired well! The sides were okay, I would love to try the other side dishes that the waiter recommended with the soups instead. The decor was lovely and we soaked in the atmosphere while listening to the upbeat music :) I def recommend this place for a unique experience!"

"Such friendly service and AMAZING food. The spices and aroma will make your eyes and mouth water. Cozy, classy atmosphere with beautiful plating and presentation. You get a lot of food for your money, and it is worth every penny. Don't know what to order? Come for lunch and try any one of their specials for a great variety. Their goat is melt off the bone. And the mackerel is heavenly. Give this place a try!"

"Relaxed & comfy environment. Spacious than the Norfolk location. However, authentic African cuisine. Samosas were spicy & delicious. I love the level of spiciness you can request. Chicken egusi soup with plantain fufu was delicious. A go to during a chilly day/night. Food, environment & customer service were satisfying. Quality for the money!"
