Baja Restaurant

"I am not sure if this is a poor restaurant or just one that cannot handle a big party. I came with a party of 11. We called ahead to see if they could accommodate our party and they told us to wait to come at 7:00 pm to avoid the rush crowd. We did. We were seated right away. I will say the appetizers of she crab soup and spiced shrimp were delicious if not really heated appropriately. The flavor was good but the temp was not. Bear in mind, I am a foodie and love to enjoy high quality cuisine. I was excited to try this restaurant. The dinner followed the appetizers in a timely manner. However, the entrees were not to standard To start with, the seafood gumbo was not seafood gumbo. It was more like spaghetti sauce over rice with shrimp thrown on top. This was not gumbo. The others who ordered French fries with their meals got fries that were room temperature to cold and we sent them back. I will say the fresh fries that came back out were hot and we were grateful. The seafood risotto was just ok and the cheese in it was gelled and not really palatable. The one person who ordered pizza felt it was a frozen pizza that had been warmed up. While hot, it was not freshly made. Also, green beans with one dish were cold. Overall, I want to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and believe they just got overwhelmed by a large party. But we spent $350 and felt like we simply threw our money away as the experience was generally bad."

"A positive must everytime we are in town! We always plan to get there around 5pm to secure a table outside and beat the big rush. No worries about the wait, as there's plenty of room outside for the kids to play and run around. Food - Amazing! Service - Speedy, awesome and super hospitable! Atmosphere - Heaven! It's right on the reserve so you have a gorgeous backdrop should you choose to sit outside and at 7pm, insert the live band!"

"My sister and I had an amazing meal tonight. The location is beautiful sitting by the bay, and service from Sarah was amazing!! We had the polynesian rice bowl and spinach with goat cheese salad. Food was amazing as well, best meal of our vacation. Thanks for an amazing dinner all around."

"Eh what can I say the food was "just okay". Nothing fancy and nothing flavorful whatsoever. We had calamari and a margarita pizza. The calamari was fresh but the pizza was a disgrace. The food is not worth it. We ordered mojitos which were extremely uneventful, it tasted like club soda only. The service was great though and everyone was very nice! I would recommend going for the view because it is beautiful and would be a nice place for photos."

"Beyond impressed with our total experience this evening! Our waitress has very attentive, informative, and friendly. The place was packed but our food order did not have a long wait time at all. The She Crab Soup and Seafood Au Gratin we’re phenomenal! The pasta had an abundance of shrimp, scallops, AND crab meat in it. The food was so good that my husband asked to thank the chef for our food and let him know he was doing a great job. (my husband has never done that before!) This is our first time staying in the Sandbridge area and I am very impressed with Baja. This will be a MUST STOP anytime we return to the area."
