"I never give five star reviews. But, this place deserves it! The seafood platter that I had was excellent. Very light breading on the fish, the shrimp, and the crab cake and you could taste the seafood in every bite. My wife says the fried chicken was the best she'd ever eaten and the macaroni and cheese was the best she's ever had in a restaurant. The service was wonderful, everyone including other patrons, the server, and even the owner who came to say hello at our table was very friendly. As she told us, you may come as patrons but you will leave his family."

"I did the Meatloaf Mac and cheese and collard greens and I must say I was a little disappointed. The collard greens were pretty good once I got more towards the bottom of the bowl maybe because there was more juice which added to the flavor. The mac wasn’t the best but it was ok. The meatloaf was the most disappointing compared to others I’ve had at other places. It was very bland as if it needed a bit more seasoning. I won’t cancel this place out just yet before trying their chicken. I heard that’s the go to here. Meatloaf is a tough dish to make. But for the price I expected better."

"If you’re looking for authentic southern soul food, I doubt you can do better than Around the Table. Everything smelled delicious. Everything looked delicious. Everything we ordered was simply magnificent. Try the spoon bread for sure. I could break it down, but honestly, everything you order here is likely fantastic. Fried chicken was great. Chicken wings were huge and great also. Yams, greens, pork sandwich, potato salad, all great. All unique, all great. Fast friendly service. I’ll be back the next time I’m in the area. Thanks for such a great meal and such wonderful service, even late on a Saturday evening."
