"We had lunch at Bakers Crust Carytown this week. The food was pretty good. But when my server brought the check, I noticed an extra charge of $1.50. Not a huge amount but still an extra charge I was not aware of or agreed to. When I asked about it, my server tried to explain that instead of raising prices on the menu, this additional charge was added. Could someone in management please explain what this charge is and why aren’t customers informed of it. If I do go back, I will certainly deduct it from my tip and see how your employees feel about it."

"The food was good and did not mind that it was a little pricey but when I went to pay and insisted on seeing the charges I found a charge that said transaction fee even though I was paying cash when I contested it the waiter told me the owner is doing that so he doesn't have to raise prices seriously what a rip off I will never go back. I hate hidden fees I didn't even get a receipt. There was nothing that stated that ahead of time. It should be illegal and totally made the experience bad. Keep it up but don't be surprised when you end up closing your doors when enough people start standing up against that kind of practice"

"So this was hard for me as I was really looking forward to trying this place. We went as a large group today. We had to wait once we got there even though they knew 20 of us were coming. They did a good job getting us seated quicker than the hour they originally quoted us which I appreciated. Once we got seated we were divided into two tables. The first table got their food a good 30 minutes before us. The second table’s food came out in stages. I’m gluten free and although I was one of the first people to order, I got my food dead last, and I received it after almost everyone at the second table was almost completely finished. It was a bit of a train wreck. The salad I received (mushroom apple bacon) was great, the sandwich mediocre - it was dry. The chips served with most guests meals were burnt. My kids burger was underdone. Everyone else’s meals seemed good. It was just a completely disorganized experience. I would not recommend this establishment for a larger group and check your bill. It may be outlined somewhere but it has a blanketed 3.5% transaction fee just for dining there. Gratuity was already included but the numbers didn’t seem to align with the subtotal, maybe it was including the transaction fee…? Again, it was disorganized, confusing, super loud and required a tremendous amount of patience as a customer. It was a bust and I’m sure this place is great when the stars align but for what you pay per meal, I would expect a lot better overall."

"I've ate here for breakfast before with family and it was pretty good. But today I came for lunch and got the chicken and waffles. I was hoping it be more then the 3 small strips for the price I paid but they were pretty good. But the waffle was cold and hard and not good. It Tasted like it was sitting for awhile. I enjoy the Cafe it has a cozy little atmosphere... The server was nice"

"Good service and awesome tasting food. The wife had the Blueberry Lemon Curd pancakes and I had the West Coast omelette with home fries and toast. Coffee was good too. Will definitely be back."
