"This is a Richmond staple, very much underrated overall. The food is remarkably consistent and some of the best for the price, and they stay open late. The service can be lackluster but i’ve also had great service. It really depends on how busy it is and who, emphasis on, who, is working. A couple employees in the front seem overly disinterested at times. They are often quite busy even on nights you might not expect but again…food is great but be prepared to wait maybe a bit longer than you’d hope. The Regal Beagle is one of the best pizzas i’ve ever had. Their chicken wings are consistently some of the best in the city. Haven’t tried many of their cocktails but recall being intrigued. Atmosphere is what it is. Personally not a big fan of music so loud I can barely have a conversation much less think straight but that’s me. I honestly don’t know how staff don’t all have premature hearing loss and permanent tinnitus. Without question it helps with drink sales and keeps people from lingering so probably good for restaurant overall and turning tables and bar customers. I prefer when they have outside seating and often do take out for this reason. I will emphasize again that their food is consistently well above average if not exceptional for what it is. That’s really why i go there. Service is good enough. Make sure you bring your ID because they’ll ID you even if you have gray hair but that’s only because they’re a skip and jump from VCU. All street parking but it’s usually not an issue."
"This is one of the best pizza places in Virginia. The food, the nostalgia, the atmosphere, everything's flawless. The tables are filled with 80s and 90s pop culture references, from music to television. The pizza is to die for. I highly recommend the Garfield lasagna pizza. They even got the pictures on the walls. It was a wonderful experience. 10/10"
"My sister and I stopped by for a quick lunch. We loved the offbeat decor and spent our time trying to name all the celebrities on the wall. I ordered the day’s special, “Peaches Regalia,” which is peaches, brie cheese, hot honey, and ham. The drink menu looked good (featuring Belle Isle cocktails) and the bar looked like a cozy spot to chill with some friends. I enjoyed my experience and I’ll definite be back."
"My true rating for Hot for Pizza is 3.5 stars but Google hasn’t made that possible for me to select. The pizza from this place was great. Delicious, savory, and prepared well. This was just what we needed at 12am after a night out. Unfortunately, I found the staff service to be a bit lackluster. Not rude or bad, merely unintentional and aloof. I must also add that we paid about $32 for an 18 inch pizza with two toppings which seemed egregious. However, at 12am when you’re hungry and in a pinch, it’ll do with a bit of managing your expectations for service and cost."
