Reviews
"It takes a lot for me to write a poor review but this pizza was the most overrated food I’ve ever experienced. Very little flavor. I went to the Richmond location with several people and we were baffled by Pupatella’s glowing reputation. Service and atmosphere were fine but their pizza (we each ordered different pizzas) was awful."
"Have been eating this pizza ever since discovered them a few years back. Sucks that there second location seems to be closed, as it was easier to go there. Also would prefer if you could submit a pick up order directly on their website, but it’s not such a big deal. I think prices for the size and quality are reasonable especially considering the prices for everything nowadays"
"Having lived in Italy for a couple of years, I can confidently say that the pizza here is incredibly authentic and delicious! Every friend I brought here has loved it too. It would be great if the managers could focus on improving their marketing and enhancing the atmosphere, as the pizza quality is already outstanding. I highly recommend the Margherita and mushroom ones."
"Pizza = good. Brussels sprouts with apples = maybe a little too heavy on the apples but good. Mozzarella balls = $6 for 5 tiny balls?!?! Not good."
"I'm sad to say that this pizza just isn't my jam. I don't know if it's because it's wood fired but I'm not a big fan of limp, doughy pizza. I didn't care for their sauce as well it was way too plain tomatoey tasting. It tasted like I took a spoonful directly out of a tomato paste can. We did order their appetizer sampler and those were very good. There's probably good alternative things to get here but for myself I wouldn't get the pizza again. I only took a couple bites of the meatball ricotta one I ordered. Everything else was great though you seat yourself and they have a number of different servers that kind of help take care of everyone. Didn't think it was overly expensive, there wood fire grill is kind of cool looking. They have a tiny little bar in the back with four five seats. Was pretty packed with an upbeat crowd. I would come back and hang with friend, just would get something other than the pizza."
