"i’m medically gluten free and when i started at GMU there was almost nothing on campus that was safe for me to eat. now there is, and what makes it even better is that the pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches here are amazing! however, i think the pizzas leave something to be desired. the workers here also super friendly and many of them have dietary restrictions themselves."

We are beyond thrilled to have a bakery that is safe for my family. It’s the first restaurant where my children can choose from anything on the menu. Thank you, Difference Baker! "This place is the best for students looking for a quick healthy grab. If you’re lucky enough, it’s best to come in the mornings to avoid that lunch hour traffic. Also if you’re a student that is sick and tired of trying to find a new study place then I recommend coming here where you can drink a nice cup of coffee and get your work done in peace! I highly suggest trying out their cookies as it’s extremely delicious and will satisfy your sweet tooth."

"So happy to have a dedicated gluten free spot in Fairfax! My husband, who doesn’t need to eat gluten free (and doesn’t really like a lot of gluten free things) got a breakfast sandwich and he really enjoyed it. We split a pizza, which was small, but very delicious. It’s hard to find a gluten free pizza that’s safe for someone with celiac, and usually it’s just on a prepared cracker like crust. But this was thick, bready crust with a nice developed yeast flavor, which is uncommon in the gluten free world. I really enjoyed it. The lemon cake was fantastic, I also brought a bagel home and toasted it later and it was great, it was soft and flavorful. I’m excited to go back and try more things, everything I’ve tried from the Difference Baker has been delicious. Definitely worth a visit! The hours are tricky for a working professional, but I understand it’s geared for students (and I’ll say, I think it’s amazing that there is a place like this for students)."

"Worst food on campus by a mile. If you hate money and your taste buds then this is the place for you. The food was barely warm, dry, no taste of flavor, expensive, slow. I couldn’t even finish it and threw it out. Worst pizza of my life by far."
