"I almost never post negative reviews but this place was rough. The whole store is a funky smell, but it was worst in the meat department. The store was poorly organized and made getting around far more difficult than it should have been. There are other Tops markets in the area that are a better experience all the way around."

"I used to be an exclusively Walmart only shopper for groceries. However Walmart has been screwing me over a lot lately on every food that I buy and eat. So I go to tops and I think everything's double the cost but the surprise is that the shoppers club card gives me half off on most of the items I buy and then when I find yellow tag savings in the meat department the produce department the bakery and more I get even better savings. I literally just bought four New York strip steaks for $7.98!! Lady Godiva ice cream double decadent dark chocolate for $2.50!! And right now gas is about $3.75 to $3.79 depending on where you go. By using my club card savings and gathering up my points I got my gas for $2.99 a gallon!! I'm a believer now and I'm going back to the old grocery stores that I used to shop when I was younger because Walmart and the big box stores are screwing everyone over. Tops in Elmira on cedar Ave is a very nice store with great deals!"

"Don't come here for fresh fruit or vegetables unless you want rotten ones. Over the past several months I have lost count of how many rotten onions, tomatoes, cabbages, potatoes and whatever else I have had the displeasure of putting my fingers through when trying to find just one that is edible. They stock vegetables lower quality than your local food pantry."
