"I established with Dr Cooper because I had the upmost faith in WVU medicine and their technology and all of the sudden NO CALLS NO LETTERS to explain that she disappeared on her patients. With my insurance I can’t just go anywhere and to be left hanging is not cool. The communication is awful because their should have been someone calling and informing me and every one else of this situation."

"I have been to this office twice now, first with my husband when he had a minor accident, and second for myself for services. First, the positives: I can't recall the name of the doctor who assisted my husband, but she was friendly and professional. The doctor that I personally dealt with, Dr. Kristen Moore, was very nice also--I had no complaints and would gladly ask for her again in the future. The first doctor and Dr. Moore deserve 5 stars in my opinion. Great job! Now, the negatives, which is why my review is only 2 stars overall: the phone etiquette of the call center is TERRIBLE--and I mean absolutely horrendous! They are utterly lacking in patience, empathy, warmth, or even just plain politeness. When I call anyone to request a service or product, wherever or whomever it is, I always greet the person on the phone pleasantly, say my name, and then ask that person how he or she is. I like to set a positive tone at the beginning of the call, in the hopes that the kindness will be reciprocated. Mostly, this tactic works. Unfortunately, this was NOT the case at WVU Medicine. When I booked my appointment on the phone and explained what I needed, the person I spoke with, Emily, was very rude, short-tempered, condescending, and deliberately obtuse. She gets negative stars if that were possible. Recently, I called them again after I received some lab results that I had been anticipating. I wanted to speak to someone who could explain the results to me. That person, whose name I couldn't catch because it was quickly mumbled into the phone, was also incredibly rude and condescending. She would also get negative stars."

"Like others, I have had issues with one of the doctors mentioned several times in the reviews. I went in to establish treatment plans for depression and asthma after relocating to Morgantown. My prescriptions were never sent to the pharmacy. I called quite a few times as I had eventually ran out of my meds. They told me to stop calling because there are patients with "real problems ". They had my complete medical history (I had it faxed the day I moved into town) and called to make sure they got it. I had went in to establish care based on my conditions which are included in those documents. And was barred from making appointments because I called them about 5 times over the course of two weeks about prescriptions they gave me but were never sent to the pharmacy. After living in this town for 3 years now I dont trust any doctor that works for or graduated from WVU. If I had the money I'd still be seeing my specialist up in Columbus."

"Called on a Thursday morning and got an appointment for the next day which is basically unheard of in Morgantown. I waited in the waiting room for less than 10 minutes before being called back. Dr. Cooper and the other staff there made me feel important, understood, and well cared for. She made appropriate drug therapy recommendations and made sure to advise me on non-drug measures too. Prompt, professional, and friendly service from every member of the team."

"Love Morgantown South. Very clean, friendly staff. We left there when Dr. Kristen Moore took over for Dr. Pastuch. We did not have a good experience with Dr. Moore. She has still not returned my phone call after several days. She isn't flexible whatsoever. In my opinion, manipulative to intellectually handicapped patients. Non-compassionate describes her well. She had the lady that I take care of dismissed from Morgantown South, stating that I failed to comply to medication instructions. First of all, I did absolutely comply to her instructions. Secondly, who dismisses from a clinic on those grounds? She was extremely authoritative in that during one phone call I asked if we could do it this way, and her reply, "I want you to do it exactly like I said." She was vindictive in my opinion. What kind of health care professional acts like this. I showed a Social Worker her letter, and they asked if this doctor is crazy? I'm flexible, easy going, but how can a doctor do this? Patient Advocate tried to help, but got no where. Tempted to let a lawyer look at the letter. Frustrated in WV."
