Reviews of Rennick Meat Market
"This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, and I’m still regularly impressed when I go. It’s obvious that effort goes into choosing high quality ingredients, and everything is prepared with care every time. My number one recommendation would be to try any of the steaks- they’re phenomenal. Service is always good as well. The servers are knowledgeable and appear to like their job. Overall this is likely the best restaurant in the area."
"We had a wonderful first experience at Rennick. We made a reservation for a Friday night, which I would recommend. The pirogi appetizer was tasty and filling. The haddock had a bit too much breading, but was very crunchy and tasty. The fries were good as well. The hanger steak was perfectly cooked at medium rare. The garlic mashed potatoes could have had more garlic. The mushrooms were great and there were a lot of them. Good service. We look forward to returning to try more of the menu. Brunch was great! If you’re a Bloody Mary fan…get theirs…house made mix, did not disappoint. More recent experiences have declined from the past. We attended the grinch breakfast. The food was ok (wrinkley, soft fries; wilty lettuce) and the service was the same. Which makes me sad to say."
"Serves was slow, very crowded. Took a very long time to get drinks. The bloody Mary was good if you enjoy horseradish very heavy. Food was just average (brunch) over all would say ok but nothing special."
"The steaks at this hole-in-the-wall steakhouse can compete with the best. The filet was actually better than Morton’s with a wonderful crust yet tender and flavorful. My whole party was happy with their entrees as well: flatiron, pork chop, and strip. The sides were mostly good. The onion rings were thin, salted, with a great flavor. The fries are shoestring with a light crisp. Unfortunately, the macaroni and cheese with disappointing with little flavor, not very warm, and small portion. Additionally, the flourless cake is just a brownie but it was good! The atmosphere is very nice but it is loud with tall echoing walls. All drinks are served with real glass adding to the luxury experience. Unfortunately, the service was not commensurate with this price point. Quite slow and infrequently checking drinks. I want to see local places succeed and they could easily earn 5/5 with improvements; but you should not let 4/5 stop you from coming in!"
"Both sandwiches were good. The meat for the burger had a nice beef flavor. Definitely not a frozen pre made patty. The reuben was perfectly balanced with saurkraut, meat, cheese and bread. Fries were crispy but still flexible to dip!! Calamari had a light breading and it was not tough. The choice of W sauce was a perfect choice!"
