"I live in Arizona & have a difficult prognosis. Soon, I will need a Spinal Fusion of 8-10 discs (top of my neck to the middle back). I retired early because it is a life changing surgery and we are waiting until it is absolutely necessary. My Orthopedic Spine Surgeon sees me every 3 months to monitor the situation. He recently ordered an MRI because of several new symptoms & concerns. I was sent a denial letter from my health insurance company "Ambetter" because Dr. Heather Manchin D.O. a PEDIATRICIAN who practices on the east coast, denied the request. I've never met Dr. Manchin, she lives 2,000+ miles away. She wants me to go to a Chiropractor! "Ambetter" is using a PEDIATRICIAN to deny the claim of a SPINE SURGEON, I'm sure she is compensated well. If you live in MD or PA, PLEASE send her a message that unethical doctors won't be tolerated & take your children to another provider."
